Royal Ascot 2017 gets underway this afternoon and you don’t want to miss this NetBet offer! Simply place a bet on the first race each day and if our selection finishes 2nd or 3rd, NetBet will refund 50% of our stake as a free bet, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us an overall potential profit of £37.00+ and here’s how…
Qualifying Bets:
We must opt-in to this promotion to be eligible.
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
This offer is available on the first race each day as follows…
Race | Time | Date |
---|---|---|
Queen Anne Stakes | 14:30 | Tuesday 20th June 2017 |
Jersey Stakes | 14:30 | Wednesday 21st June 2017 |
Norfolk Stakes | 14:30 | Thursday 22nd June 2017 |
Albany Stakes | 14:30 | Friday 23rd June 2017 |
Chesham Stakes | 14:30 | Saturday 24th June 2017 |
Races must have 7 or more runners for the promotion to be applied to 3rd place finishes.
It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for. Having looked at the odds available for the Queen Anne Stakes, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Ribchester.
I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity in the run up to races and the site is really easy to use. They also charge just 2% commission compared to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.
We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £19.81…
Place £20.00 on Ribchester @ 2.10 = Potential profit of £22.00
Lay £19.81 on Ribchester @ 2.14= Potential liability of £22.58
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Ribchester wins | + £22.00 – £22.58 = £0.58 loss |
Ribchester finishes 2nd or 3rd | – £20.00 + £19.41 + £8.00 (extract 80% from our £10.00 free bet) = £7.41 profit |
Ribchester finishes outside top 3 | – £20.00 + £19.41 = £0.59 loss |
So, if Ribchester finishes 2nd or 3rd, we’ll make a nice profit of £7.41. Any other outcome and we’ll have made a maximum loss of £0.59. Risking £0.59 to make a profit of £7.41 gives us effective odds of 13.56, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes this a profitable offer in the long run.
With five days of racing to look forward to, this gives us an overall potential profit of £37.00+ on this NetBet offer!
If eligible, free bets will be credited by 15:00 the same day and will be valid for 7 days. Free bets can be used on any sport and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
I’ll update the following table with my selections throughout the festival…
Race | Selection | Back Odds | Lay Odds | Qualifying Loss | Potential Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Queen Anne Stakes | Ribchester | 2.10 | 2.14 | £0.58 | £7.41 |
Jersey Stakes | La Brivido | 3.75 | 3.85 | £0.80 | £7.18 |
Norfolk Stakes | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a |
Albany Stakes | Clemmie | 8.00 | 8.20 | £0.84 | £7.16 |
Chesham Stakes | September | 2.10 | 2.20 | £1.12 | £6.88 |
