Power Up Offer (13:00 Lingfield) – Paddy Power

There’s a big day of racing at Lingfield on Wednesday and you don’t want to miss this Power Up offer from Paddy Power. Simply bet £10.00 or more on the 13:00 at Lingfield at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater and Paddy Power will give us a Power Up to use on any sport. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £4.30 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • Minimum stake of £10.00.
  • Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater.
  • Qualifying bets must be placed between 17:00 on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 and 13:00 (race-off) on Wednesday 23rd January 2019.
  • Maximum stake for the Power Up is £100.00.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unsure about how to place qualifying bets, check out my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on. At the time of writing, the lay odds aren’t quite tight enough, so I’ll use fictional lay odds for Locommotion (4/1) in the following example and I’ll update the bottom of the post with an actual selection after the race.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £0.70 on our qualifying bet

Outcomes:

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Outcome Bookie Exchange Profit/Loss
Locommotion wins +£40.00 -£40.70 £0.70 loss
Locommotion doesn’t win -£10.00 +£9.30 £0.70 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose £0.70 in qualifying for our Power Up.

Power Up

Our Power Up will be credited within 2 hours of the race ending. The maximum stake when using the Power Up is £100.00.

We just need to find some close back and lay odds and select the Power Up once our selection has been added to our betslip.

The boosted odds should give us an arb and hopefully a nice profit of around £5.00. If we take our qualifying loss of £0.70 into account, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £4.30 on this Paddy Power offer.

* Maazel was available at back odds of 5.00 and lay odds of 5.50. Maazel failed to win the race, resulting in a profit of £3.93 on this Paddy Power offer. *
