There’s a big Saturday afternoon of Horse Racing to look forward to and you don’t want to miss this William Hill Scratch of the Day offer! Place a £10.00 bet on any Horse Racing market contested on Saturday and William Hill will give us a £5.00 free bet to use on Horse Racing. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- We must scratch on the Promotion page to reveal the offer.
- We must click ‘Claim here‘ once the offer has been revealed.
- We must bet £10.00 on any Horse Racing market between 00:01 and 23:59 on Saturday 22nd June 2019.
- Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or greater.
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
A quick look at the OddsMonkey Oddsmatcher tool will give us an idea on what to place our qualifying bet on.
We can place our lay bet at Betfair or Smarkets.
We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.
Free Bet:
Our £5.00 free bet will be credited upon placement of our qualifying bet and will be valid for 4 days on any horse racing market. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £5.00 free bet, so £4.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.50, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 on this William Hill offer!

Guest usercan you qualify for the scratch of the day offer if you use bet boost when placing your qualifying bet?
Matt
1493I think it’s been confirmed previously that you can use a Bet Boost and still qualify.
Luke
Guest userIf you get banned from promo on WH or any other sites can you ever get it back?
Matt
1493It’s very unlikely Luke.

Guest userMatt what is reason for blocking you from promos? I’ve only had a WH account 4 months and already blocked from everything.
Matt
1493If a bookmaker believes you’re only interested in taking advantage of promotions, they’re likely to restrict your stakes or remove your eligibility for promotions.
It’s therefore important to try and appear like an average punter.
Unfortunately, there is no concrete formula for avoiding restrictions, but feel free to take a look at my Mug Betting guide for some tips that should help.
