Sky Bet Offer – 1.45 Kempton

It’s time for another Sky Bet offer!  If the favourite wins the 1.45 at Kempton today, Sky Bet will refund all losing outright bets on that race as a free bet up to £10.00.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.97 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unsure about how to place qualifying bets, check our my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.

For this particular offer, we need to select a horse that isn’t likely to start the race as the favourite. There are 3 horses that look like potential favourites come the start of the race so I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on the longest horse, Gentleman Jon.

skybet

Place £10.00 on Gentleman Jon @ 7.50 = Potential profit of £65.00

betfair

Lay £10.49 on Gentleman Jon @ 7.20 = Potential liability of £65.04

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Gentleman Jon wins +£65.00 – £65.04 = £0.04 loss
The favourite wins -£10.00 + £9.97 + £8.00 (extract 80% from our £10.00 free bet) = £7.97 profit
Neither wins -£10.00 + £9.97 = £0.03 loss

So if the favourite doesn’t win, we will make a maximum loss of £0.04.  However, if the favourite wins the 1.45 at Kempton, we will make a nice profit of £7.97!

If you’re unsure how to extract 80% of our £10.00 free bet, check out my Free Bet Strategy page for a walkthrough guide on how it should be done.
