William Hill Offer – 3.10 Sandown

There’s a big day of horse racing at Sandown today and you don’t want to miss this William Hill offer! Bet £20.00+ on the Imperial Cup (3.10 at Sandown) today and William Hill will give us a £10.00 free bet to use on the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle (1.30 at Cheltenham on Tuesday). Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.25 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

To be eligible for the free bet, we must place a Single £20.00+ bet at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater on the 3.10 at Sandown today (Saturday 12th March 2016).

Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on For Good Measure.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

Place £20.00 on For Good Measure @ 6.50 = Potential profit of £110.00

smarkets white

Lay £18.62 on For Good Measure @ 7.00 = Potential liability of £111.75

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

For Good Measure wins + £110.00 – £111.75 = £1.75 loss
For Good Measure doesn’t win – £20.00 + £18.25 = £1.75 loss

So regardless of the result of the race, we will lose £1.75 in qualifying for our £10.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free bet will be credited by 12:00 on Tuesday 15th March 2016 and it must be used to bet on the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, which gets underway at 13:30.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% of our £10.00 free bet as cash, so around £8.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.75, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.25 on this William Hill offer!
