New Calculators!

As many of you will know, I uploaded a revamped version of the matched betting calculator on Thursday. I’ve now enabled the brand new ‘Advanced’ version complete with slider which enables you to adjust your lay stake as required. With Cheltenham Festival 2017 just a few days away, I’ve also added an each way calculator with an extra place function!

Technical Issues

If you’re a regular user of the matched betting calculator, you may have noticed that there were some technical issues. Hopefully these have now been resolved.

If the calculator still doesn’t look like the screenshots below, you’ll need to clear the cache on the browser/device you are using.

On Google Chrome, you can press ‘Ctrl + F5’ or click the 3 dots in the top right corner and then head to Settings > Show advanced settings… > Clear browsing data…

If you’re using Safari on an iPhone, just head to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

For any other browsers/devices, a quick Google search should point you in the right direction.

Advanced Matched Betting Calculator

Now onto the exciting stuff!…

The calculator continues to load the simple version by default. You’ll notice it’s been given a face lift and is a lot slicker.

To open the slider, just hit the ‘SHOW ADVANCED’ button as shown in the screenshot above…

The slider will automatically default to the standard lay stake, but you can adjust your lay stake by dragging the slider left and right. You can also click the ‘UNDERLAY’ and ‘OVERLAY’ buttons to automatically adjust the slider to those values…

As you can see, I’ve also added a part lay feature. So if you’ve already placed part of your lay stake for whatever reason, you can simply click ‘+ ADD PART LAY’, enter your part lay stake and odds and the calculator will do the rest.

I’ll get some guides done when I get chance, but have a play around in the meantime and see what you think!

Each Way / Extra Place Calculator

It’s the perfect time to familiarise yourself with the new each way calculator. With Cheltenham coming up next week, there are sure to be plenty of each way arbing opportunities and extra place offers.

The each way calculator takes the hassle out of calculating your lay stakes individually. Just enter your back odds and your win and place lay odds and the calculator does all of the work for you.

A quick glance at the ‘Total’ profit/loss figures should give you an idea of whether it’s worth getting on a particular horse.

Each way arbing is perfect for squeezing profit out of any gubbed accounts you may have, however, proceed with caution on your most profitable accounts.

I’m hoping to get an each way arbing (betting) guide done very soon, but in the meantime, check out the sticky post at the top of the Matched Betting Forum. We’ve got a great community on there and the guys are very knowledgeable!

You’ll also notice the ‘Extra Place’ option at the top of the calculator. It doesn’t change the calculator at all, but it enables you to see how much profit you stand to make if your selection finishes in that extra place.

I hope you approve of the changes to the existing calculator. I must admit I’m not one for change, but I quite like it! I hope you find the each way calculator useful next week too!
