There’s a big Sunday of NFL action to look forward to and you don’t want to miss this William Hill Scratch of the Day offer! Place a £10.00 bet on any NFL market on Sunday and William Hill will give us a £5.00 free bet to use on any sport. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • We must scratch on the Promotion page to reveal the offer.
  • We must click ‘Claim here‘ once the offer has been revealed.
  • We must place a £10.00 win or £10.00 each way bet on any NFL market on Sunday 13th October 2019.
  • Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or greater.

Note: The order in which you scratch seems to be irrelevant. Some users may not be eligible for the offer and some users may receive a variation of the offer such as ‘Bet £5, Get £2’ or ‘Bet £10, Get £10’.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

A quick look at the OddsMonkey Oddsmatcher tool will give us an idea on what to place our qualifying bet on.

We can place our lay bet at Betfair or Smarkets.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £0.50 on our qualifying bet

Free Bet:

Our £5.00 free bet will be credited upon placement of our qualifying bet and will be valid for 4 days on any Sports market. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £5.00 free bet, so £4.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.50, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 on this William Hill offer!

Same is there anything that can be done about it?

Btw there is an odds boost on the NFL today Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks & Jacksonville Jaguars all to win boosted at 6.00.

Placing a few more bets with them might help, but there’s no way of knowing for sure.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the NFL boost… Not much value in it at the moment with the lay odds sitting at 5.60.

a couple of weeks ago i found a small arb on nfl so bet my balance as 4 bets to hopefully lose it to smarkets rather than withdraw it. It totalled over £200 and the bet lost but still the next week i got bet5get2 so not sure betting money with WH makes any difference to this offer.

How many bets would be considered a good amount?
Do they need to be all on the same market let’s say horses or football?

There is no scientific definitive formula, in my opinion this is just an example of the bookies tightening their belts a little, similar to what SkyBet have done with the money back horse offer.
