There’s a big Sunday of NFL action to look forward to and you don’t want to miss this William Hill Scratch of the Day offer! Place a £10.00 bet on any NFL market on Sunday and William Hill will give us a £5.00 free bet to use on any sport. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • We must scratch on the Promotion page to reveal the offer.
  • We must click ‘Claim here‘ once the offer has been revealed.
  • Promotion will run from 08:00 until 23:59 on Sunday 12th January 2020.
  • We must place a £10.00 win or £10.00 each way bet on any NFL market on Sunday 12th January 2020.
  • Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 1.20 (1/5) or greater.

Note: The order in which you scratch seems to be irrelevant. Some users may not be eligible for the offer and some users may receive a variation of the offer such as ‘Bet £5, Get £2’ or ‘Bet £10, Get £10’.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

A quick look at the OddsMonkey Oddsmatcher tool will give us an idea on what to place our qualifying bet on.

We can place our lay bet at Betfair or Smarkets.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £0.50 on our qualifying bet

Free Bet:

Our £5.00 free bet will be credited upon placement of our qualifying bet and will be valid for 4 days on any Sports market. Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £5.00 free bet, so £4.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.50, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 on this William Hill offer!

I got a “bet £5 on NFL, get £2 to bet on any sport” so less value but may be able to extract around £1 or so?

If you can restrict your qualifying loss to no more than £0.25, you should be able to make around £1.35 profit.

Thanks Matt, I managed to extract £1.36 exactly!

fyi – I had some trouble starting a new thread in the newbies forum last week – tried a couple of times but when I hit submit I then never saw it appear in the forum. It’s not a major issue as I have now got a few bets under my belt and managed to find answers to my questions but wanted to let you know. Cheers for the great website!

Sorry to hear that. If a new user creates a new thread on the forum, it will sometimes be held in a ‘pending’ queue where it awaits manual approval by myself.

I can’t remember refusing any but I see you created one successfully yesterday so you shouldn’t have any further problems.
