Betway Offer – Six Nations 2016

The Six Nations 2016 continues this weekend and Betway are getting in on the action. Place a Win/Draw/Win bet on any Six Nations match this weekend and if our team is winning at half-time and goes on to lose, Betway will refund our stake as a free bet up to a maximum of £25.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £57.66 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

This weekend’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-off Date
Wales v France 20:05 Friday 26th February 2016
Italy v Scotland 14:25 Saturday 27th February 2016
England v Ireland 16:50 Saturday 27th February 2016

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Our qualifying bets must be placed pre-match on the Win/Draw/Win market to be eligible.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

Place £25.00 on Wales @ 1.30 = Potential profit of £7.50

smarkets white

Lay £25.19 on Wales @ 1.31 = Potential liability of £7.81

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the three outcomes…

Wales win +£7.50 – £7.81 = £0.31 loss
Wales don’t win having been leading at half-time – £25.00 + £24.69 + £20.00 (80% extracted from £25.00 free bet) = £19.69 profit
Wales don’t win having not been leading at half-time – £25.00 + £24.69 = £0.31 loss

So if Wales are leading at half-time and go on to lose, we will make a nice profit of £19.69! Any other outcome and we will have made a loss of £0.31. Risking £0.31 to make a potential profit of £19.69 gives us effective odds of 64.52, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes this a very profitable offer in the long run.

This offer is available on all three of this weekend’s matches. It’s entirely up to you which selections you go for, but here’s what I’ll be going for…

Selection Back Odds Lay Odds Qualifying Loss Potential Profit
Wales 1.30 1.31 £0.31 £19.69
Scotland 1.40 1.47 £1.34 £18.66
England 1.30 1.33 £0.69 £19.31

So as you can see, we’ll lose £2.34 if we don’t hit any winners, but with £57.66 in potential profit up for grabs, this offer is well worth a shot!
