BoyleSports Offer – New Zealand v British & Irish Lions

The Lions face New Zealand in the first test of their Tour on Saturday morning and you don’t want to miss this BoyleSports offer! Simply place a pre-match bet on New Zealand v British & Irish Lions and if either team wins by 5 points or less, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £51.88 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

If either team wins by 5 points or less, BoyleSports will double winnings on all pre-match markets as a free bet. The maximum stake for this offer is £20.00 and the maximum free bet is £500.00.

Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on the British & Irish Lions in the Match Betting market.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.92…

Place £20.00 on the Lions @ 4.333 = Potential profit of £66.66

smarkets whiteLay £18.92 on the Lions @ 4.60 = Potential liability of £68.11

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Lions win by more than 5 points + £66.66 – £68.11 = £1.45 loss
Lions win by 5 points or less + £66.66 – £68.11 + £53.33 (extract 80% from £66.66 free bet) = £51.88 profit
Lions don’t win – £20.00 + £18.54 = £1.46 loss

So, if the Lions win by 5 points or less, we’ll make a nice profit of £51.88. Any other outcome and we’ll have made a maximum loss of £1.46. Risking £1.46 to make a profit of £51.88 gives us effective odds of 36.53. So, given that the Lions are odds of 8.00 to win by 1-5 points, this is a very profitable offer in the long run.

If eligible, free bets will be credited within 24 hours and will be valid for 7 days. Free bet stakes will not be included in any returns.

If you’re not sure how to extract 80% cash from a free bet, please see my Free Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.
