Coral Offer – Super League Bet & Get

Posted by Matt (administrator) Fri, Apr 15, 2016 09:04am Matt
Start Time: 15/04/2016 20:00

It’s a big night of Rugby Super League action and you don’t want to miss this Coral offer. Simply place a win single bet of £20.00+ on ANY pre-match market in tonight’s Super League matches and Coral will give us a £10.00 free bet to use in play, once the action gets underway. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.71 and here’s how…

Coral Offer - Super League Bet & Get

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

Tonight’s eligible matches are as follows…

Fixture Kick-Off
Huddersfield Giants v Warrington Wolves 20:00
Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC 20:00
Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers 20:00

Qualifying bets must be placed pre-match at minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater to be eligible for the free bet. Having looked at the odds available, I’ve opted to place my qualifying bet on Leeds Rhinos beating Hull FC.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator…

Back Bet (Bookie)

Lay Bet (Betting Exchange)

Min £
Max £
Lay stake required: £
If back (bookie) bet wins
= £
If lay (exchange) bet wins
= £

Total profit: £

Optimal Underlay

Lay stake required: £
Exchange liability: £

If back (bookie) bet wins: £
If lay (exchange) bet wins: £

Optimal Overlay

Lay stake required: £
Exchange liability: £

If back (bookie) bet wins: £
If lay (exchange) bet wins: £

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.58…

Place £20.00 on Leeds Rhinos @ 2.10 = Potential profit of £22.00

smarkets white

Lay £18.58 on Leeds Rhinos @ 2.28 = Potential liability of £23.79

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Leeds Rhinos win + £22.00 – £23.79 = £1.79 loss
Leeds Rhinos don't win - £20.00 + £18.21 = £1.79 loss

So, regardless of the result of match, we will lose £1.79 in qualifying for our £10.00 free in play bet.

Free Bet:

Our £10.00 free in play bet will be credited instantly and can only be used on the in play markets of any Super League match played tonight (Friday 15th April 2016). If not used, the free bet will expire at 23:59 on Friday 15th April 2016.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% of our £10.00 free bet as cash, so around £7.50. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £1.79, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £5.71 on this Coral offer!

Any reason you decided to use Betfair and not Smarkets?

I backed Hull at 1.8 and was able to Lay at Smarkets at 1.56.

Meaning i should make a 2.91 profit on my qualifying bet.

    1. Matt

I think you may have placed your lay bet on the football team, Hull City…

      1. Anon

Yeah. I realised after i posted. lol.

  2. Nick M

Hey Matt, how come you haven’t used Smarkets for this one? There is a W-D-W market for Super League.

    1. Matt

The odds weren’t great earlier on, so I went with Betfair, but you’re right, they’ve tightened up nicely now. I’ve updated the post, thanks mate.

  3. Raymond

Is it better to wait till half time to use the free bet mate new to this

  4. Raymond

And also what market for the in play bet never bet on rugby

  5. kjillman

what crap markets and sport, luckily taken £6 profit from this one

  6. mishmash

(Think) I’ve made a fiver, but this was my first attempt so could have screwed up, we’ll see at the end lol

  7. Richard

The in-play markets weren’t great so I ended up using the free bet on Leeds to win. Looks like I might get lucky, but mostly did it out of frustration and impatience as the poor market!

    1. Richard

The return ended up being 8 quid (SNR of course!), minus the qualifying bet loss of around 80p. Worked out well in the end but it could have easily not gone my way! Thanks for the heads up on the offer – I’d not spotted it myself on Coral. Had thought it was a new customer offer.

Almost got it at 3.25 to 2.84 after the first try when all the markets were wonky. Ended up being 3.14 to 3.1, not too bad, but really slim pickings for this. Still, easy £5, can’t complain! Lots of offers tomorrow to do!

  9. mishmash

£4.24! Better than a kick up the arse… more importantly I didn’t mess it up haha

    Well done Richard!

Should you always look for the highest bookie back odds to get the most profit? Is that the only thing to consider or any other tips?

    1. Bob47474

What do you mean mishmash? You’d go with the bookie that has a promotion.

      1. mishmash

I mean to get the most profit out of the free bet you get, I’ve read now Matt says back and lay odds as tight as possible and generally higher odds = more profit, I was just wondering if there was anything else to consider to maximise the profit?

        1. Bob47474

Ahh, play around with the calculator if you want, but generally yes, higher odds are better (up to the amount you can afford) and the back being close to or even when possible higher than the lay is ideal.

        2. mishmash

Think I’m getting the hang of it now 🙂 thanks

Rubbish in play markets on Coral meant I spent all the game trying to find tight back and lay odds for a decent enough profit and by the time I got them at the end of the game, Coral suspended in play betting with 4 minutes to go! Only a £1.70 loss though on my part so I can deal with that.

Managed to get 4.57 first effort so happy with that all adds up
