The Rugby World Cup 2019 gets underway on Friday and you don’t want to miss this Paddy Power ‘Bet £10, Get £5’ offer! Simply bet £10.00 on any Rugby World Cup market and Paddy Power will give us a £5.00 free bet to use on the opening weekend fixtures. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • We must place a £10.00 win or £5.00 each way bet at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater.
  • Qualifying bets can be placed on any Rugby World Cup 2019 market.
  • We must place our bet between 12:00 on Friday 13th September 2019 and 12:00 on Friday 20th September 2019.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

It’s entirely up to you what you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available for France v Argentina, we could place our qualifying bet on France (5/6) in the Match Odds market.

We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.

Aim to lose no more than £0.50 on our qualifying bet

Outcomes:

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

OutcomeBookieExchangeProfit/Loss
France win+£8.33-£8.83£0.50 loss
France don't win-£10.00+£9.50£0.50 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose £0.50 in qualifying for our £5.00 free bet.

Free Bet:

Our £5.00 free bet will be credited upon placement of our qualifying bet and can be used on the opening weekend of fixtures between Friday 20th September 2019 and Monday 23rd September 2019. Free bet stakes will not be included in any returns.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £5.00 free bet, so £4.00. If we take into account our qualifying loss of £0.50, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £3.50 on this Paddy Power offer!

It should be easy enough to find an acceptable qualifying loss on the Match Odds markets Shaun.

Converting the free bet into cash may be a little trickier though.

Got on this morning for a 50p qualifying loss. If its tricky to get the 80% from the free bet I may just punt on something with higher odds and accept a 50p loss.

Yes there’s no harm in doing that Shaun.
