World Snooker Championship 2019 Offer – William Hill

The World Snooker Championship 2019 gets underway on Saturday and you don’t want to miss this William Hill offer. Simply bet £20.00 on the tournament winner and William Hill will give us a £5.00 free bet every time they win a match! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £17.29 and here’s how…

Key Terms:

  • Qualifying bets must be placed between 00:01 on Monday 15th April 2019 and 10:00 on Saturday 20th April 2019.
  • We must place a £20.00 Win or £10.00 Each Way bet on the Tournament Winner market.
  • For every match our selected player wins in the tournament, we’ll receive a £5.00 free bet.

Qualifying Bet:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how it should be done.

It’s entirely up to you which player you place your qualifying bet on. It makes sense to place it on one of the favourites though, as this should minimise our qualifying loss and give us a decent chance of bagging a few free bets.

Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Neil Robertson.

At the time of writing, laying our bet at Betfair gives us the smallest qualifying loss.

We can calculate our lay stake using my matched betting calculator…

As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £18.18…

William Hill logo

Place £20.00 on Neil Robertson @ 6.50 = Potential profit of £110.00

Betfair logo

Lay £18.18 on Neil Robertson @ 7.20 = Potential liability of £112.71

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Outcome Bookie Exchange Profit/Loss
Neil Robertson wins +£110.00 -£112.71 £2.71 loss
Neil Robertson doesn’t win -£20.00 +£17.27 £2.73 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £2.73 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Free Bets:

For every match that Neil Robertson wins in the tournament, we’ll receive a £5.00 free bet by 12:00 the following day. Free bets will be valid for 4 days and free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

If Neil Robertson wins the tournament, he’ll have won five matches in doing so, meaning £25.00 in free bets for us.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £25.00 in free bets, so £20.00. If we take our minimum qualifying loss of £2.71 into account, we stand to make a potential profit of £17.29 on this William Hill offer!

Note: Just bear in mind that our exchange funds will be tied up until Neil Robertson is knocked out or wins the tournament on Monday 6th May 2019. The alternative is to not lay our qualifying bet and just let it run. Neil Robertson should win enough matches to cover some of the £20.00 stake and we could win big if he goes on to win the tournament.

* Neil Robertson won two matches before being knocked out at the Quarter-Final stage of the tournament, resulting in a profit of £5.27 on this William Hill offer. *
