Australian Open 2018 Offer – 10Bet

The Australian Open 2018 is underway and 10Bet are getting in on the action! Bet £15.00+ on the Australian Open 2018 Men’s and/or Women’s Singles Outright Winner markets and 10Bet will give us a free bet every time our player wins throughout the tournament. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £23.58 and here’s how…

Qualifying Bets:

If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.

Qualifying bets must be placed between Friday 12th January 2018 and 00:00 on Friday 19th January 2018, to be eligible.

It’s entirely up to you who you place your qualifying bets on. Free bets will be credited on a next day basis, with the amount varying between £2.00 and £4.00, depending on the category our player belongs to, as shown in the following table…

Group Players Free Bet
1 Roger Federer / Rafael Nadal / Novak Djokovic / Karolina Pliskova / Garbine Muguruza / Simona Halep £2.00
2 Grigor Dimitrov / Alexander Zverev / Juan Martin del Potro / Nick Kyrgios / David Goffin / Dominic Thiem / Stan Wawrinka / Marin Cilic / Milos Raonic / Elina Svitolina / Caroline Wozniacki / Maria Sharapova / Angelique Kerber / Petra Kvitova / Julia Goerges / Johanna Konta / Madison Keys / Venus Williams / Coco Vandeweghe £3.00
3 Any other player £4.00

Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bets on Roger Federer and Caroline Wozniacki.

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Betfair as they have great liquidity and the site is really easy to use.

We can work out our lay stake for Roger Federer by entering our odds into my matched betting calculator…

Place £15.00 on Roger Federer @ 2.90 = Potential profit of £28.50

Betfair logo

Lay £12.99 on Roger Federer @ 3.40 = Potential liability of £31.17

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the two outcomes…

Federer wins + £28.50 – £31.17 = £2.67 loss
Federer doesn’t win – £15.00 + £12.34 (£12.99 minus 5% commission) = £2.66 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £2.67 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Caroline Wozniacki was available at back odds of 11.00 and lay odds of 10.50, giving a qualifying loss of £0.00.

Free Bets:

We’ll receive a £2.00 free bet for every match that Federer wins and a £3.00 free bet for every match that Wozniacki wins throughout the tournament. With seven possible rounds, the maximum amount of free bets we can receive is £35.00.

Free bets will be credited within 24 hours and will be valid for 7 days. Free bets must be used on tennis markets at odds between 1.50 (1/2) and 8.00 (7/1). Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.

By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 75% of our potential £35.00 in free bets as cash, so £26.25. If we take into account our total maximum qualifying loss of £2.67, this gives us a potential profit of £23.58 on this 10Bet offer!

* Caroline Wozniacki won the Women’s Singles and Roger Federer won the Men’s Singles, resulting in a profit of £23.58 on this 10Bet offer. *
