Bet365 in play offer – £45 guaranteed profit?

  • Hi Folks,

I’m new to matched betting but I’ve been looking at the Bet365 offer covered in the blog and I may have spotted a more profitable way of doing this? Why don’t we match our bets purely within Bet365 and have the in-play bet cover the pre match bet? For example:

Even number of goals has 9/10 for and Odd number of goals has 19/20.

if I bet £50 on Even pre-match, and cover with £50 on odd at kickoff, then I’m guaranteed £45 profit if Even comes in and £47.50 if Odd comes in. (assuming I get roughly these odds at kickoff).

Given that this is more than the £34 profit covered in the blog then why don’t we do it this way? Is the reason being that this is clearly a matched bet, and my account is likely to be banned from Bet365?

    Thanks,

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

If its odd then you lose your prematch bet of 50.

And you win your in play bet. So you are down 50 and up whatever the in play pays which is just short of 50 if 19/20 is odds of odd..

You don’t get a refund because your in play won.

So you are at a small loss. Right?

You’re absolutely right thanks mate- thought I was missing something!

I guess one other potential technique might be to bet on something where’s a big odds difference, like betting No on an own goal pre-match (1/16) and then betting Yes in play at 9/1.

So £3 profit if No own goal and £400 profit if there is?

If there was a more profitable way to take on the offer you can be sure that Matt would blog it, or it would at least be highlighted in these forums 😉

Bet 365 do stipulate that you cannot place bets in such a way to guarantee profit (i.e. Betting on ALL outcomes in a given market) although I know plenty of folk who do that undetected.

The only other way to use this offer (really) is the gambling way, by punting the risk free bet in the hope of a big return, or at least in such a way as to be able to lay it off at far lower odds if your outcome becomes more likely (i.e. Backing 0-0 and then laying it off it’s still 0-0 with 2 mins left)

    Hi..

I’m pretty new to this and was just doing the straight forward collecting the free bets for the moment, but after reading the above I might have strayed from the path

just further to this question above, I’m in the middle of using my £200 money to get the free £200 bet.. So I’ve used £100 on another match, and was sucked into the £50 pre-match bet (which I’ve made), and then get a £50 inplay risk free bet – Can I not just treat the £50 inplay as a risk free bet – albeit matching the bet and lay bet will be a bit tricky?
