Calling all VPN users

  • Hey everyone! I haven’t started yet but while reading about match betting I read that we shouldn’t use a VPN. I’m based in the UK but I spend a lot of time abroad and already have NordVPN so I’m a bit disappointed.

So just wanted to ask all of you that use VPNs if there are any tricks to it; which bookmakers can definitely tell (I read bet365), which ones don’t care; in case you were gubbed because of that if you still managed to take the money out, etc etc. any info would be appreciated.

I just want to gather more info from VPN users to find out if it’s worth the risk, or if there are ways to minimise this risk. Thanks in advance!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

If you are going to use a VPN, also make sure that you block your webRTC IP too. A lot of VPN services claim to block it but seldom actually do it.

A service like Browserleaks.com would show you if you were successful in doing that. It would also show you what data the bookies can garner from your IP such as your service provider. Your Service provider is the easiest tell of whether you are using a VPN or not, normally it should be any of the recognisable one such as BT, Sky, Virgin, Orange, etc but if you are using a VPN it would be some obscure company.

If you spend a lot of time in Europe you might be better off get a UK SIM that allows for data roaming such as Smarty.
