Free Bet Restricted? This is how to fight back!!

  • All Credit to Guppyboy see forum post entitled “Getting Restricted some advice” I have reposted it here with a more appropriate title as this is what you should do if you don’t get your legitimate free bet credited.

Internal message sent to Boylesports today

“Yesterday I had a free bet restricted of £20 I would like to remind you of your commitment to fairness, honesty and transparency (as the IBAS code of conduct expects) and that you have no right to take away a free bet that has been legitimately ‘earned’ without any foreknowledge of restriction. Hopefully we can resolve this issue between ourselves but if needs be you can explain to IBAS why you have not credited my legitimately earned free bet, without notifying me prior to the restriction of the issue.”

I’ll let you all know how I have got off.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Good luck with this. The use of the term ‘free’ is entirely misleading anyway, as you had to stake/risk money in order to get it. That’s not free. Same with any supermarket offer of 50% extra free, or buy one get one free. Nothing there is free, because you have to spend money to get it. That’s the precise opposite of free. But imagine paying at the counter, and then the cashier unbagging your ‘free’ pack of digestives and saying ‘nah mate, you’re restricted – you can have the ones you paid for, but not the free ones.’

    Gaarrd!! What a BITCH!!!

This is a bog-standard response. Whoever sent this out hasn’t actually understood what you are complaining about.

Boylesports are running what appears to be a scam. They get loads of punters to put money on their crap in-play odds, then deny them the ‘free’ bet by telling them they are restricted!

Which other industry could get away with making offers then removing them AFTER the goods had been paid for? I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure they can’t get away with this regardless of how they might want to interpret their terms and conditions.

We could all be really annoying deposit min amount £5 then withdraw straight away as they get charged a transaction fee if using debit cards, also this would really piss them off loads of pointless transactions!
