GatoBet

  • New bookie. Deposit and bet £10 for £30 free bet. Roll over x 10, so must try and lose. Apparently there is a deposit code, that I didn’t spot 🙁

They gave me a £10 free bet out of goodwill. It’s a decent deal.

Anyone know if there was a deposit code for STS? I can’t see anything. Did my £80 bet on a double, both odds over 1.5 as required. Lost my back bet and waiting on £40 cash bonus. Not yet received.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Not heard much about GatoBet, but I see they’re part of the same group as BetSteve, InterBet and PriveWin amongst others.

Appears to be a decent enough welcome offer!

There isn’t a promo code for the STS welcome offer. The bonus should be credited upon settlement of your qualifying bet and comes with a 6x wagering requirement.

If you don’t receive it soon, it might be worth querying it with them.

Registered with them – had to remind them 2 days later to credit the 2x £10 free bets.
Unfortunately, lost at the exchange so had £144 as bonus and £52 as real money.
Bet £144 and then they took my real money of £52 and added it to the Bonus, so then I had no real money left.
Cancelled the bet and lost £8 in the process (£139 bonus and £49 real).
Withdrew £49 and they cancelled the bonus because apparently, when you withdraw real money, the bonus is void.
Add to it that “because of COIVD-19) withdrawal cancellation are not allowed.
And there went my £147 bankroll.

I would stay away from until their T&Cs are clearly understood. The free bet is 10x wager requirements.

Has anyone used this offer successfully (Gato Bet)?

It seems like a bit of a con to me.

They advertise a £30 free bet, but winnings from this free bet are only bonus funds, that you have to rollover 10x, and the ultimate amount you can withdraw as cash is only £30.

So the best bet would be to put the free bet on something close to 2.0. If it wins at Gato, you then have £30 of bonus funds in your account, and you have to wager £300. You are £15 down at the exchange at this point.
Then you just keep placing £30 bets at the lowest possible odds until you’ve met the wagering requirements?
The T&Cs are very murky so hard to tell if this would work.

I had a look at the gatobet offer a while ago but it doesn’t seem worth it with the rollover requirements.

I’ve had bad experiences with a couple of smaller bookies when trying to withdraw after doing the sign up offer.

Karamba for example asked me to provide notarised copy of my passport to withdraw £60.

I would avoid any Progress Play bookie / casino. When they first appeared they were fine, but now they have ridiculous terms which means it is impossible to profit from the free bets (unless you lose straight away – which obviously isn’t guaranteed). Max payout from freebets is equal to the freebet stake but has rollover attached usually making them unviable

I am owed about £28000 in frozen withdrawals from sister sites of Progressplay. Betsteve, 2kbet, and Betdukes which I’ve seen advertised. I am not sure if they delay payment for a month or forever. Would be careful with any of their sites.

Seen these and a few others advertised on Facebook Winissimo is another. Saw on t&cs that the 10 x rollover and max winings of only £30 made it not worth the bother.

Has anyone tried this recently? The T&C’s seem to now state it’s a 1x wagering requirement

They are unreliable and must be avoided

I stay away from “tricky” offers (If pigs fly arse first around the moon we’ll pay out on pancake Friday etc.) It’s hard enough following the requirements of mainstream bookies and very stressful collecting what you’ve been promised when things go awry.

Yes I had that with Karamba. Just bet and laid my credit ’till account balance was zero.
Also be careful with t&c on some of these firms that are part of a group as some include a condition that you can only have a sign up bonus once within the whole group

I milked Gatobet until I got gubbed. It was such good money.

There are no odds restriction on your qualifying bet so make sure you place a bet with very low odds and on matches with high liquidity. I use the popular markets of Smarkets to spot the high liquidity matches.

The qualifying bet is usually a win and then I get the free bet which I place on a match with very high odds so there’s very little chance of winning. The risk here is that if it does win, you will need to wager all that money, including your winnings from the qualifying bet.

The other option is to place the free bet on a low odds match, think the minimum is 2.0. Then you only need to wager a relatively small amount. Then you have to pay the 1% withdrawal fee.

Overall the profit ranges from £3 to about £15.
