Multi-accounting: potential for CIFAS markers?
-
So, I see a lot of people head into multi-accounting without a care in the world, and I was thinking of signing my father up whom I live with. However, it seems you could potentially end up with a CIFAS marker as this violates ‘misuse of product for fraudulent activity’. Obviously, I would have to sent money to the account to deposit into the bookies.
Any thoughts?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Not sure if bookmakers can force that as they would need to pull you into a legal court first, which will be hard when most of them operate as a bucketshop in Gibraltar or Cyprus or wherever. But I’m not a lawywer so don’t know.
So I don’t think it will be individual cases, but the world again moves in a way that favours corporates and global trusts. All it takes is a tiny legislation to tilt the odds. Multi-accounting *is* a form of identity fraud or identity theft after all. It seems innocent and most casual bettors I know do it and unfortunately a lot of matched bettors do it as well.
