Multi-accounting: potential for CIFAS markers?

  • So, I see a lot of people head into multi-accounting without a care in the world, and I was thinking of signing my father up whom I live with. However, it seems you could potentially end up with a CIFAS marker as this violates ‘misuse of product for fraudulent activity’. Obviously, I would have to sent money to the account to deposit into the bookies.

    Any thoughts?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Not sure if bookmakers can force that as they would need to pull you into a legal court first, which will be hard when most of them operate as a bucketshop in Gibraltar or Cyprus or wherever. But I’m not a lawywer so don’t know.

So I don’t think it will be individual cases, but the world again moves in a way that favours corporates and global trusts. All it takes is a tiny legislation to tilt the odds. Multi-accounting *is* a form of identity fraud or identity theft after all. It seems innocent and most casual bettors I know do it and unfortunately a lot of matched bettors do it as well.
