Multi accounting with same name

  • Is there any way to multi account with the same name? For example, I’m thinking:

    – Use a different card/bank account
    – Use a full name, including middle name
    – Structure your address differently – maybe take out Flat if you’re Flat 1 etc
    – Use passport as id instead of drivers license
    – Use a different computer

And when I saw multi accounting, I’m really referring to opening a second account on a bookie that’s gubbed you. I appreciate there’s a risk involved where they might seize bonus funds? I’m not definitely going to do it, but it seems like an above board way of doing it, basically just by having a potshot at avoiding detection by matching the details above.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I actually have two Bet365 accounts, both on the same details, I’ve had the bonus on both and I’ve made withdrawls on both. Strange but true!

Not sure how this helps but maybe just give it a try, that’s all I did. If it’s been dormant just claim you didn’t remember having an account if you’re caught…

^^^potentially bad advice – just my findings

I certainly wouldn’t try it if u have a healthy existing account.
I’ve managed a couple of extra accounts this way, but since moving house and a variant on my name. Even then betvictor completely blocked me as they do credit checks. Boyle sports also closed a new account I had as I’d registered ages ago but genuinely forgot, had a phone call soon after registration!!

@ jameslegg most bookies monitor your IP address so using a different computer but on the same broadband system at home would not help you. A way around this would be to use mobile data connection, or go down the VPN route.

I know lots of people who have got away with multi accounting and have made lots of money doing it, but personally I don’t think its worth the risk of being caught.

You could end up losing a lot of money and although unlikely you could end up being taken to court.

Have you used up all the various bookie sign up offers that there is out there (there is an awful lot of them), and if you have are you gubbed from them all?

There are so many ways of making money from bookies, explained really well on this and similar sites, I would be amazed if you have exhausted all the possibilities that now mean you have to try multi accounting.

Even gubbed (but not restricted) accounts can be used for either straight forward arbing or if you want them to last a little bit longer do some E/W arbing.

I think you need to be careful here James , that would be fraudulent. I’m not sure there would be jail involved but do you want the hassle for the money involved in matched betting?

I suppose Dan you could say you didn’t realise you had a 365 account , maybe a lot of people had a 365 or William Hill account years ago and have indeed forgot but a third time I’m not so sure they would buy it.

One of the things however that is significant I feel is that if you did the same thing you suggest James and actually lost money like most gambler’s then would the bookies bother you?? Probably not.

Lastly from me if you’ve been gubbed everywhere.. help one of your very close friends to do some sign ups is something you could do.

I’ve had a read through another thread on the forum about multi-accounting, but couldn’t seem to find a definitive answer about using another persons/friends ID.

do you just use a vpn to mask your ip (i don’t understand how this works tbh) and use the same pc/laptop as usual on the ‘second’ accounts? as i understand it you could also juts use mobile data.

Also, what is the general approach when it comes to a wife/partners account? As both accounts have the same address and ip, do people generally wait until they are gubbed and then set up a new account for their partner?

    any responses are appreciated

I think throwing the word ‘fraud’ around is a bit strong. Everything I said is using your own details. It is far more above board than using someone elses id and betting as them, as a lot of multi accounters do..

I had a Ladbrokes, Bet365, and SkyBet account years ago, and created new ones when I started matched betting, but I think my accounts had all been closed by then. Its not far off being different to that.

I think the key thing to stress is I’m talking about bookies where I DO NOT use them right now. I’m gubbed by a lot/most of them, so I never log onto them. They’re just sitting there dormant. So its not really even what people refer to as multi-accounting on here. I wouldn’t need to use VPN etc, as I would only be using one account with them.

Prime reason being is I’m going to be missing out on a lot of offers during Cheltenham! I’m currently doing sign-up offers with the crapper bookies like 12bet etc.

Hopefully it would be fine James , if it was ages ago it could be ok.

Might be wise to just punt everything though and not risk your exchange funds.. happy days!

Ha Johnd signed up with mates details and still used the same internet and mobile by sounds of it!

I would mask everything using a VPN and never use mobile data only the VPN wifi. As long as they dont match the devices or wifi connection its impossible to do anything FACT. Do you really think could base it on location only…what if I walked past FOGs house while placing a bet! I think some people worry too much about how much the bookies look into this FACT. They will analyse lots of things but they dont go out looking to ban people FACT

I appreciate a lot of people on here multi account and I certainly have been tempted. What I will say, is that knowing a bit of law I would suggest that using someone else’s details is “fraud by false representation”. Ie you are obtaining financial rewards by pretending to be someone else, even if they are a real person who is consenting. I think you need to consider the risk/reward not only to yourself but also the 3rd party who may unwhittingly have got involved.

There’s so much potential in MB/arbing etc but it doesn’t come with job security, pension plan etc etc! For me as unlikely as it is to get caught (and no you’d never go to prison!), it’s not worth getting in bother over no matter the minimal chances.

One chap said he uses the same laptop and internet and has been fine , if you were worried about the location just turn it off on your phone.

Some bookie’s apps, e.g. William Hill and Paddy Power, require you to have GPS enabled. You can get apps that allow you to spoof your GPS location though – haven’t tried them myself mind!
