138.com Offer – Premier League Price Boost

There’s a big weekend of Premier League action and 138.com are running a tasty little price boost. Place a treble bet on Man Utd, Everton and Liverpool at the normal odds quoted on site and if it wins, 138.com will top our account balance up with a Price Boost. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential risk-free profit of £29.88 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

The maximum stake for this offer is £20.00.

The current odds on Man Utd, Everton and Liverpool all winning are 4.94. This means that if our accumulator wins, we will receive £98.80 cash (normal odds) and a £51.20 free bet (price boost up to 7.50). We know we can extract 80% of any free bet as cash, so in this case £40.96, giving us total cash returned of £139.76 and a profit of £119.76.

Place £20.00 on Man Utd, Everton & Liverpool @ 4.94 = Potential profit of £119.76

Match 1: Sunderland v Man Utd (Kick-Off: 12:45 on Saturday 13th February 2016)

On the first match, we have to cover our original stake of £20.00.  If we divide £20.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £20.41.

Lay £20.41 on Man Utd @ 1.83 = Potential liability of £16.94

If Man Utd win – £16.94 = – £16.94
If Man Utd don’t win – £20.00 + £20.00 = £0.00

So if Man Utd don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Man Utd do win, we will have lost £16.94 so far.

Match 2: Everton v West Brom (Kick-Off: 15:00 on Saturday 13th February 2016)

So, if Man Utd win, this means on the next match we will have to cover both the £16.94 lost on the first match plus the original stake of £20.00. If we divide £36.94 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £37.69.

Lay £37.69 on Everton @ 1.54 = Potential liability of £20.34

If Everton win – £16.94 – £20.34 = – £37.28
If Everton don’t win – £20.00 – £16.94 + £36.94 = £0.00

So if Everton don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Everton do win, we will have lost £37.28 so far.

Match 3: Aston Villa v Liverpool (Kick-Off: 14:05 on Sunday 14th February 2016)

So, if Everton win, this means on the next match we will have to cover both the £37.28 lost so far plus the original stake of £20.00. If we divide £57.28 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £58.45.

smarkets white

Lay £58.45 on Liverpool @ 1.90 = Potential liability of £52.60

If Liverpool win – £16.94 – £20.34 – £52.60 + £119.76 = £29.88 profit
If Liverpool don’t win – £20.00 – £16.94 – £20.34 + £57.28 = £0.00

So, if any team fails to win along the way, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if all three teams win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £29.88!

If our treble wins, our free bet will be credited to our account within 24 hours of settlement.

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
