Bet365 In Play Offer – Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Posted by Matt (administrator) Matt

The £50.00 Bet365 in play offer is back!  Place a pre-match bet on the Barcelona v Bayern Munich game and Bet365 will give us a risk-free in-play bet to the same stake (up to a maximum of £50.00) on the big match.  These Bet365 free bet offers don’t usually come around often enough, but when they do, there are big profits to be made.  We can make a guaranteed minimum profit of £33.85 with this offer and here’s how…

Bet365 Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Our in-play bet will be risk-free.  This means that we are required to place the in-play bet using our own funds and if this in-play bet loses, Bet365 will refund it in full in cash (which is withdrawable straight away).  It is worth noting that although the current odds for the draw (at the time of writing) are 4.00, this will usually drop slightly when the game kicks off and therefore I have adjusted the odds accordingly in the following example…

bet365

Place £84.30 (pre-match) on Barcelona @ 1.72 = Returns £145.00

Place £50.00 (in-play) on a draw @ 3.90 = Returns £195.00

betvictorPlace £26.85 (pre-match) on Bayern Munich @ 5.40 = Returns £145.00

I’d like to add at this point that it’s always best to stick to round numbers when placing your bets as odd amounts such as £84.30 can easily be flagged up as a matched bet. You could instead place £80.00 and adjust the other numbers accordingly or place the £4.30 difference with another bookmaker.

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the three potential outcomes…

Outcome

Returns Total Outlay Overall Profit

Barcelona win

145.00 + 50.00 (refund) = 195.00 161.15 £33.85

Draw

195.00 161.15 £33.85

Bayern Munich win

145.00 + 50.00 (refund) = 195.00 161.15 £33.85

So as you can see, no matter what the result of the game, we stand to make a guaranteed minimum profit of £33.85 on this Bet365 in play offer!  How long did that take?  10 minutes?

If the odds change between now and kick-off, which is almost a certainty, it’s really easy to recalculate your pre-match stakes.

Start by working out your returns on the in play draw bet.  So if the draw odds have changed to 3.80, your returns on the draw would now be £190.00.

To work out your stakes on Barcelona and Bayern Munich, you need to subtract the £50.00 refund from the £190.00 which gives you £140.00.  All you then have to do is divide the £140.00 by the odds (in decimal form) for both Barcelona and Bayern Munich to get your respective pre-match stakes.  Any problems, just give me a shout!

* These Bet365 in play offers are by far the best around but for those of you who have never come across matched betting, there are so many more offers to profit from.  I’ve made over £3,800 risk-free profit since the start of 2014 and my profit log shows how I’ve made and lost every penny.  Feel free to have a read of my matched betting guide and give it a go.  My blog is completely free to use! *

On this I could just place £50 on Barca at bet365 & the rest with another bookie if I can get better odds? I know it would mean my 3 outcomes would be slightly different but would still do the job?

Yes absolutely Terry, place £50.00 with Bet365 and then the extra £34.30 with another bookie. If you can get better odds elsewhere, it’s a nice way of squeezing a little more profit and makes your bets look more genuine at Bet365.

We can do both mate. I’d advise waiting until after the Juventus v Real Madrid game to do the Barcelona v Bayern Munich one. Just helps keep things simple.

Hi what happens if the odds changed on the inplay £50 draw bet which they will after i already placed the £84.30 on barca prematch and then the £26.85 on bayern with bet victor prematch …. Will that change anything? Thanks in advance

Yes it will change things Lee. Just jot down your workings so far and then jot down your returns on the draw once you’ve placed your in play bet. If the draw odds have dropped, you won’t make as much profit on a draw. If the draw odds have increased, you’ll stand to make more profit on a draw. You’ll then have the option to place extra bets to even your returns up.

Odds have dropped to 5.25 for the bayern win on bet victor so i just took them and put my £26.85 stake on it to return £140. For next time how do I work the stake out if the odds change as I tried the way you said and it come out as that

You should have divided the £145 by the new odds of 5.25 which gives a stake of £27.62. You can always stick an extra quid on now to make it up…

Hi, i’m new to this but would it be possible to do it like this.

Place £50 pre match on Barca to return approx £87.50 at current odds
Place £50 in play on the draw to return approx £200
Then open a 888sport account take advantage of the trebling the odds for new customers, place £10 on Bayern at odds of 5.20 tripled to 15.6 to return £156.

I’m not sure if this is correct but total outlay would be £110 with possible returns of £27.50 for barca, £90 for a draw or £46 for bayern

Hi Ciaran. Yes there’s certainly no harm in taking advantage of welcome offers if you’ve not already done them. I should point out though that 5.20 is 21/5, so when multiplied by 3 it equals 63/5 which is 13.6 in decimal form and not 15.6 as you’ve calculated. Just make sure you jot all your figures down and you’ll be absolutely fine mate.

    Hi Matt,

I opened a bet365 yesterday with a view to using this offer tonight, will it affect Bet365’s 100% matched deposit offer?

    Thanks

Hi Ken. It shouldn’t do. You can’t use the £200 bonus until you’ve played through your £200 deposit so your bets on this offer should just count towards that. As always though, have a good read of the terms and conditions. I’d recommend placing your bets on the desktop version of their site though, because once you’ve done their £200 welcome bonus offer, you should be eligible for a £50 bonus on your first mobile bet.

Hi Ken , I got this offer the last time just as I opened my bet365 & as Matt says, the £50 pre match bet counts towards your £200 qualifier. It also gives u a profit on ur bet instead of an acceptable loss which is a good wee bonus. The inplay bet u place does not count tho So u will still have £150 left to bet.

Sorry extremely new to this and can’t really afford to make a loss, so is this strategy/scenario guaranteed profit with a 0% loss?

    Kind regards,

    Rach

Also could you just explain in the little section where you’ve told us what is best to bet on and to what value, why you haven’t covered if ‘Bayern Munich’ wins? Sorry for so many questions..

Hi Rachel, yes it’s absolutely risk-free with a nice guaranteed profit. The odds are changing all the time though so you will need to adjust your stakes as advised towards the end of this blog post.

Hi, thanks for making these profits really easy to understand!
You could make a little more profit if you place the bayern bet on paddy power, they have an offer of 2x£5 free bets if you bet £20. I have bet £24 on Bayern to win and will place a further £5. In play, currently @5.0 to win. To get £145 and then i have £5 to play with in play.

Combining the Paddy Power offer is indeed a nice little bonus but unless Paddy Power are offering the best odds on a Bayern Munich win, it’s usually more profitable to do both offers separately. See > https://bit.ly/BARCA-vs-BAYERN for the Paddy Power strategy.

The odds are changing all the time Jordon so it’s better to crunch the figures yourself mate. I’ve explained towards the bottom of the blog post, how to recalculate your stakes.

You’ve said round bets to avoid being spotted as a matched bet. What happens if Bet365 think it is a matched bet?

Your bets would be voided. This offer has been around for years and I’ve not heard of anyone being pulled up. As long as you place round bets and place your Bayern Munich bet with another bookie, you are abiding by the terms of the offer.

Hi, New to this betting so had a quick question. With this Bet365 deal you say to start ‘by working out your returns on the in play draw bet’ but on the previous Juventus V Real Bet365 deal you say to start by ‘working out your returns on the pre-match Real Madrid bet’ As far as I can tell both deals are the same. Could you please explain why?

With the Juventus v Real Madrid offer, because the odds were tight, we knew we needed to stake a nice round £50.00 on Real Madrid pre-match We then used our returns on that outcome to work out the draw and Juventus stakes. Similarly for this offer, because the odds aren’t tight at all, we know we can stake a nice round £50.00 on the draw in play. Again, we can use our returns on that outcome to work out our Barcelona and Bayern Munich stakes. Hope that helps.

I got £32.53 out of this one, backed Barca for the pre play and then the draw on the In-play(of course Barca destroyed Bayern in the last 15 minutes for a 3-0 victory),backed and laid on the exchange.
