Place £50.00 on Chelsea & Tottenham to win @ 4.50 = Potential profit of £175.00

Match 1: Everton v Chelsea (Kick-Off: 14:05)

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first match, we need to cover our original stake of £50.00. If we divide £50.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £51.03…

Lay £51.03 on Chelsea @ 1.99 = Potential liability of £50.51

If Chelsea win – £50.51 = – £50.51
If Chelsea don’t win – £50.00 + £50.00 = £0.00

So, if Chelsea don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Chelsea do win, we’ll have lost £50.51 so far.

Match 2: Tottenham v Arsenal (Kick-Off: 16:30)

So, if Chelsea win, this means on the next match, we need to cover both the £50.51 loss from the first match plus the original stake of £50.00. If we divide £100.51 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £102.57…

Lay £102.57 on Tottenham @ 1.82 = Potential liability of £84.10

If Tottenham win + £175.00 – £50.51 – £84.10 = £40.39 profit
If Tottenham don’t win – £50.00 – £50.51 + £100.51 = £0.00

So, if either Chelsea or Tottenham fail to win along the way, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if Chelsea and Tottenham both win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £40.39!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
