Betway Price Boost – Man City, Chelsea & Man Utd

There’s plenty of FA Cup action to look forward to this weekend and you don’t want to miss this Betway price boost. They’ve enhanced Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd all to win from 7/4 to a tasty 11/4! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £11.41 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

Maximum stakes for this offer may vary for different accounts, but the following example is based on a maximum stake of £10.00.

betway

Place £10.00 on Man City, Chelsea & Man Utd to win @ 3.75 = Potential profit of £27.50

As all three matches kick-off at different times and don’t overlap, we can lay each leg sequentially for a risk-free potential profit.

Match 1: Huddersfield v Man City
(Kick-Off: 15:00 on Saturday 18th February 2017)

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first match, we need to cover our original stake of £10.00. If we divide £10.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £10.21…

Lay £10.21 on Man City @ 1.42 = Potential liability of £4.28

If Man City win – £4.28 = – £4.28
If Man City don’t win – £10.00 + £10.00 = £0.00

So, if Man City don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Man City do win, we’ll have lost £4.28 so far.

Match 2: Wolves v Chelsea
(Kick-Off: 17:30 on Saturday 18th February 2017)

So, if Man City win, this means on the next match, we need to cover both the £4.28 loss from the first match plus the original stake of £10.00. If we divide £14.28 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £14.57…

Lay £14.57 on Chelsea @ 1.37 = Potential liability of £5.39

If Chelsea win – £4.28 – £5.39 = – £9.67
If Chelsea don’t win – £10.00 – £4.28 + £14.28 = £0.00

So, if Chelsea don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Chelsea do win, we’ll have lost £9.67 so far.

Match 3: Blackburn v Man Utd
(Kick-Off: 16:15 on Sunday 19th February 2017)

So, if Chelsea win, this means on the final match, we need to cover both the £9.67 total loss from the first two matches plus the original stake of £10.00. If we divide £19.67 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £20.07…

Lay £20.07 on Man Utd @ 1.32 = Potential liability of £6.42

If Man Utd win + £27.50 – £4.28 – £5.39 – £6.42 = £11.41 profit
If Man Utd don’t win – £10.00 – £4.28 – £5.39 + £19.67 = £0.00

So, if any of Man City, Chelsea or Man Utd fail to win along the way, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if they all win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £11.41!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
