It’s Chelsea v Man City in Thursday’s late kick-off and you don’t want to miss this Paddy Power money back offer. Simply place a bet on any market and if Man City win, Paddy Power will refund all losing bets as cash, up to a maximum of £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £9.00 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- Qualifying bets must be placed between 12:00 on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 and 20:15 (kick-off) on Wednesday 24th June 2020.
- This offer applies to all Chelsea v Man City markets.
- If our first bet loses and Man City win, Paddy Power will refund our stake as cash, up to £10.00.
Qualifying Bet:
If you’re unsure about how to place qualifying bets, check out my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
It makes sense to place our qualifying bet on Chelsea (16/5) in the Match Odds market as that will also qualify us for Paddy Power’s 2UP offer. If Chelsea go two goals up at any point in the match, Paddy Power will pay our bet out early as a winner, regardless of the final result. Early payout offers are well worth looking into if you haven’t already!
We can calculate our lay stakes using my matched betting calculator.
Outcomes:
Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…
Outcome | Bookie | Exchange | Cashback | Profit/Loss |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chelsea win | +£32.00 | -£33.00 | £1.00 loss | |
Man City win | -£10.00 | +£9.00 | +£10.00 | £9.00 profit |
Draw | -£10.00 | +£9.00 | £1.00 loss |
So, we’ll make a nice profit of £9.00 if Man City win the match and we stand to lose around £1.00 on any other outcome. Risking £1.00 to make a profit of £9.00, gives us effective odds of 10.00. So, given that Man City are odds of just 1.727 (8/11) to win the match, this is a profitable offer in the long run.
If eligible, our cash bonus will be credited within 3 hours of the final whistle.
* Chelsea won the match 2-1, resulting in a loss of £1.00 on this Paddy Power offer. *

Guest userHow come you don’t just bet on Chelsea and draw in the double chance market?

22I suppose you could do that, current price is 1.91 so you would make £9.09 profit if City win, or break even otherwise.
Using the current back/lay price on Chelsea on Paddy/Smarkets would yield £8.75 profit if City win (on 2% commission) so slightly less, however you do qualify for the 2up promotion by going for Chelsea which is why I favour the latter option.

1490It really depends on how you see the game going Kyle. If you bet on Chelsea/Draw in the Double Chance market without laying, you’ll break even if Man City win.
Another thing to consider is that betting on the Double Chance market may draw unwanted attention to your account.
With qualification for the 2UP offer thrown in, my personal preference is bet on Chelsea in the Match Odds market.
