There’s a big Wednesday night of football to look forward to and you don’t want to miss this Paddy Power price boost! They’ve enhanced Liverpool, Tottenham and Swansea all to win from 3/1 to a tasty 5/1. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £20.41 and here’s how…
Power Price Boost
The maximum stake for this power price boost is £20.00.
For a walkthrough of how to lay multiples, please see my laying multiples guide.
We can calculate our underlay stake using my Matched Betting Calculator. We just need to open up the ‘ADVANCED’ section and click the ‘Underlay’ tab…
As you can see, the calculator tells us that our lay stake should be £20.41…
Place £20.00 on Liverpool, Tottenham & Swansea all to win @ 6.00 = Potential profit of £100.00
Lay £20.41 on Liverpool, Tottenham & Swansea all to win @ 4.90 = Potential liability of £79.59
Outcomes
Let’s have a look at our profit/loss for the two potential outcomes…
So, if our treble loses, we’ll break even and there’s no harm done. However, if our treble wins, we’ll make a nice risk-free profit of £20.41 on this Paddy Power price boost!
Note: If you would prefer to lock in a smaller profit, you can simply use the ‘Standard‘ tab on the calculator for a guaranteed profit of £4.09.
* Tottenham’s match against Fulham was postponed, meaning the 5/1 treble was adjusted to a 3/1 double on Liverpool and Swansea both to win. Both teams failed to win their respective matches, resulting in around break even on this Paddy Power price boost. *

Guest userI am not sure its advisable to lay paddy power bets on betfair. Seems that’s an easy way to get gubbed.
Matt
1529No that’s correct, it’s always best to lay these elsewhere. I haven’t actually advised laying at Betfair.

Guest userWhat do I do about laying now Spurs game is off?
Kieran
Guest userAny idea what will happen with paddy/smarkets bets now that Spurs match has been called off?
matt
0Hi Matt,
Thanks for the consistently great and useful blog.
The spurs game has been called off tonight and voided. It has voided and reduced my odds on Smarkets, but nothing yet on Paddy power.
Does this risk me making a significant loss?
I.e. do you know what happens in these circumstances?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

1529You’re welcome Matt!

0Hi again,
I have just seen under Paddy power that the Tottenham bet will be voided, and the power price has been replaced with only liverpool and Swansea.
Fortunately we are still able to profit from this!

Guest userAny ideas what paddy will do with this bet now the spurs game cancelled.
Will they void the whole bet or payout voiding the leg. They do have a Liverpool Swansea double up now
Alex
Guest userMy previous experience with a different bookie was that the cancelled match (tennis) didn’t count, so the four-fold became a treble. The lay bet on smarkets was voided entirely. Not sure for definite about PaddyPower.
Matt
1529Morning guys. The 5/1 treble was adjusted to a 3/1 double on Liverpool and Swansea both to win. If you layed this at Smarkets, your bet should have been adjusted. Liverpool and Swansea both drew 0-0, so if you underlayed as in the post, you should have still broken even or thereabouts.

Guest userI don’t have access to Smarkets in my region. Any guide on how to lay multiple on Betfair?
Matt
1529Betfair don’t have a multiples feature like Smarkets unfortunately. I wouldn’t advise laying against Paddy Power offers at Betfair anyway as the two brands are owned by the same group. It may draw unwanted attention to your Paddy Power account.
