Ladbrokes Offer – Champions League Enhanced Treble

It’s a big week of Champions League football as the Quarter-Finals get underway and Ladbrokes are running a tasty little price boost on the action. They’ve enhanced Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid all to win from 12/1 to a huge 25/1! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential risk-free profit of £95.43 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

The maximum stake for this offer is £10.00.

Place £10.00 on Barcelona, Man City and Real Madrid @ 26.00 = Potential profit of £250.00

We can lay Barcelona at Smarkets (Tuesday) and if they win, we can then lay the Manchester City/Real Madrid double at Betfair (Wednesday).

Lay Bet 1: Barcelona to beat Atletico Madrid (Kick-Off: 19:45 on Tuesday 5th April 2016)

On the first match, we need to cover our original stake of £10.00.  If we divide £10.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £10.20.

Lay £10.20 on Barcelona @ 1.56 = Potential liability of £5.71

If Barcelona win – £5.71 = – £5.71
If Barcelona don’t win – £10.00 + £10.00 = £0.00

So if Barcelona don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Barcelona do win, we will have lost £5.71 so far.

Lay Bet 2: Man City & Real Madrid double (Kick-Offs: 19:45 on Wednesday 6th April 2016)

So, if Barcelona win, this means on Wednesday, we need to cover both the £5.71 loss from the first match plus the original stake of £10.00. If we divide £15.71 by 0.95 (to account for the 5% Betfair commission), this gives us a lay stake of £16.54.

You can find the accumulator markets by heading over to the Betfair Exchange and searching ‘acca’ in the search box at the top of the homepage or alternatively, by using the following link trail in the left-hand sidebar…

Football > UEFA Champions League > 19.45 Champions League Acca 5/6 April.

betfair

Lay £16.54 on Man City & Real Madrid @ 10.00 = Potential liability of £148.86

Double wins – £5.71 – £148.86 + £250.00 = £95.43 profit
Double doesn’t win – £10.00 – £5.71 + £15.71 = £0.00

So if any of the three teams lose along the way, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid all win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £95.43!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.

NOTE: I’ve opted to keep things simple for this blog post and let it run as above, but there is an option to guarantee a profit on this offer. The first option is to lay a Barcelona/Man City/Real Madrid treble at Betfair. With lay odds of 16.00, you can guarantee a profit of £5.49. The other option is to lay Barcelona as above, and if they win, you can then lay more on the Man City/Real Madrid double. Based on the £5.71 qualifying loss from the Barcelona game, if you laid £26.13 on the Man City/Real Madrid double, you would make a guaranteed profit of £9.11 on this offer.
