Sky Bet Offer – Super Sunday Price Boost

It’s a super Sunday, which can only mean one thing.  Sky Bet are running another price boost offer, perfect for the matched bettor. This week they’re offering 7/1 (boosted from 11/2) on Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea to win in 90 minutes today.  Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £9.96 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

I don’t know if different people have different maximum stakes, but the maximum stake I was able to place was £16.50.

skybet

Place £16.50 on Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea to win @ 8.00 = Potential profit of £115.50

Match 1: Liverpool v Man City (12:00)

On the first match, we have to cover our original stake of £16.50.  If we divide £16.50 by 0.95 (to account for the 5% Betfair commission), this gives us a lay stake of £17.37.

betfair

Lay £17.37 on Man City @ 2.38 = Potential liability of £23.97

If Man City win -£16.50 – £23.97 = -£40.47
If Man City don’t win -£16.50 + £16.50 = £0.00

So if Man City fail to win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even.  However, if Man City do beat Liverpool, we will lose £23.97.  This means on the next match we will have to cover both the £23.97 and the original stake of £16.50.  If we divide £40.47 by 0.95 (to account for the 5% Betfair commission), this gives us a lay stake of £42.60.

Match 2: Arsenal v Everton (14:05)

betfair

Lay £42.60 on Arsenal @ 1.67 = Potential liability of £28.54

If Arsenal win -£16.50 – £23.97 – £28.54 = -£69.01
If Arsenal don’t win -£16.50 – £23.97 + £40.47 = £0.00

So if Arsenal fail to win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even.  However, if Arsenal do beat Everton, we will lose £28.54.  This means on the next match we will have to cover the £28.54, £23.97 and the original stake of £16.50.  If we divide £69.01 by 0.95 (to account for the 5% Betfair commission), this gives us a lay stake of £72.64.

Match 3: Chelsea v Tottenham (16:00)

betfair

Lay £72.64 on Chelsea @ 1.73 = Potential liability of £53.03

If Chelsea win -£23.97 – £28.54 – £53.03 + £115.50 = £9.96 profit
If Chelsea don’t win -£16.50 – £23.97 – £28.54 + £69.01 = £0.00

So if Chelsea don’t win, we’ll have broken even.  However, if Chelsea do beat Tottenham (in 90 mins), we’ll have made a nice profit of £9.96!
