Totesport Price Boost – Man City, Leicester & Southampton

The Premier League returns this afternoon and Totesport are running a price boost on the action. They’ve enhanced Manchester City, Leicester City and Southampton all to win to a tasty 4/1! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £28.14 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

The maximum stake will vary for different accounts, so the following is based on a maximum stake of £100.00.

Place £100.00 on Man City & Tottenham @ 5.00 = Potential profit of £400.00

Match 1: Hull City v Leicester City (Kick-Off: 12:30 on Saturday 13th August 2016)

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first match, we need to cover our original stake of £100.00. If we divide £100.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £102.04.

Lay £102.04 on Leicester City @ 1.93 = Potential liability of £94.91

If Leicester City win – £94.91 = – £94.91
If Leicester City  don’t win – £100.00 + £100.00 = £0.00

So, if Leicester City don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Leicester City do win, we will have lost £94.91 so far.

Match 2: Southampton v Watford (Kick-Off: 15:00 on Saturday 13th August 2016)

So, if Leicester City win, this means on the next match, we need to cover both the £94.91 loss from the first match plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £194.91 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £198.89.

Lay £198.89 on Southampton @ 1.88 = Potential liability of £175.03

If Southampton win – £94.91 – £175.03 = – £269.94
If Southampton don’t win – £94.91 – £100.00 + £194.91 = £0.00

So, if Southampton don’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Southampton do win, we will have lost £269.94 so far.

Match 3: Manchester City v Sunderland (Kick-Off: 17:30 on Saturday 13th August 2016)

So, if Southampton win, this means on the next match, we need to cover both the £269.94 loss from the first two matches plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £369.94 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £377.49.

Lay £377.49 on Man City @ 1.27 = Potential liability of £101.92

If Man City win – £94.91 – £175.03 – £101.92 + £400.00 = £28.14 profit
If Man City don’t win – £94.91 – £175.03 – £100.00 + £369.94 = £0.00

So, if any of our 3 teams lose along the way, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if Leicester City, Southampton and Manchester City all win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £28.14!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
