Simply opt in and place a £10.00+ bet on the ‘Hotshots’ market and Sky Bet will give us a £1.00 free bet for every birdie or better our player makes during the first two days of the tournament. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a potential profit of £7.50 and here’s how…

  • We must opt in on the promotion page, to be eligible.
  • Minimum stake of £10.00.
  • Applies to bets placed on the Hotshots market.
  • Applies to bets placed between 12:00 on Tuesday 20th October 2020 and 18:00 on Thursday 22nd October 2020.

Qualifying Bet:

It’s entirely up to you which player you place your qualifying bet on. Having looked at the odds available, we could place our qualifying bet on Justin Thomas.

At the time of writing, laying our bet at Betfair gives us the smallest qualifying loss.

Sky Bet logo

Place £10.00 on Justin Thomas @ 15.00 = Potential profit of £140.00

Betfair logo

Lay £9.69 on Justin Thomas @ 15.50 = Potential liability of £140.50

Outcomes:

Let’s have a look at our potential profit/loss for the possible outcomes…

Outcome Bookie Exchange Profit/Loss
Justin Thomas wins +£140.00 -£140.50 £0.50 loss
Justin Thomas doesn’t win -£10.00 +£9.49 £0.51 loss

So, regardless of the outcome, we’ll lose a maximum of £0.51 in qualifying for our potential free bets.

Free Bets:

We’ll receive a £1.00 free bet for every birdie or better Justin Thomas records during the first two rounds of the tournament. Free bets will be credited by 19:00 after the conclusion of each of the first two rounds and will not be subject to an expiry.

If Justin Thomas records 10 birdies or better in the first two rounds, we’ll receive £10.00 in free bets. Using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to convert our free bets into 80% cash, so £8.00. If we take into account our minimum qualifying loss of £0.50, this gives us a potential profit of £7.50 on this Sky Bet offer!

* Justin Thomas recorded 15 birdies or better in the first two rounds and finished tied 2nd overall, resulting in a profit of £11.49 on this Sky Bet offer. *
