Greyhound racing continues this week and you don’t want to miss this Free Bet Club offer from Betfred! Simply place a bet on 3 separate greyhound races across Thursday and Friday and Betfred will give us a free bet equal to our average stake, up to £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.80 and here’s how…
Key terms
- Applies to bets placed and settled between 00:00 on Thursday 1st April 2021 and 23:59 on Friday 2nd April 2021.
- To claim the maximum £10.00 free bet, we must place 3 bets on separate races totalling £30.00+.
- Minimum odds of 1.50 (1/2).
Qualifying bets
If you’d like more information about qualifying bets and how they work, please see my qualifying bets guide.
The liquidity for greyhound racing does not improve until approximately 5-10 minutes before the race starts. You should therefore only get involved if you’re comfortable with that. If you’ve not done greyhound offers before, you may want to just observe the changing odds or at least use lower stakes until you get the hang of things.
Betfair works best for greyhounds
Betfair is undoubtedly the place to lay your greyhound bets. Their greyhound markets have the best liquidity in the run-up to races.
- Money back as cash up to £20
We can calculate our lay stakes using my Matched Betting Calculator.
Aim to lose no more than £0.40 on each of our 3 qualifying bets
So, we’ll lose approximately £1.20 in qualifying for our £10.00 free bet.
Free bet
Our £10.00 free bet will be credited by 12:00 on Saturday 3rd April 2021 and will be valid for 7 days.
Using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to convert our free bet into 80% cash, so £8.00. If we take into account our total expected qualifying loss of £1.20, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.80 on this Betfred offer!

Guest userThese prices fluctuate so fast and when the race is off you cannot bet , so one of the legs I lost £10 and the other 2 legs cost me about £3 , I made £8 from the £10 free bet so overall this all cost me £5 , wont be doing this again

1529Greyhounds aren’t easy Ryan. The prices do jump around a lot so it can be worth observing before you get involved or at least start with small stakes.

1529I’m sure we’ve all lost a few quid from time to time trying new things (I know I have). Just got to chalk them up as a learning exercise.
