There’s a big couple of days of greyhound racing to look forward to and you don’t want to miss this Free Bet Club offer from Betfred! Simply place a bet on 3 separate greyhound races across Thursday or Friday and Betfred will give us a free bet equal to our average stake, up to £10.00. Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.80 and here’s how…
Key Terms:
- To claim the maximum £10.00 free bet, we must place 3 bets on separate races totalling £30.00+.
- Qualifying bets must be placed at odds of 1.50 (1/2) or greater.
- Applies to bets placed and settled between 00:00 on Thursday 16th January 2020 and 23:59 on Friday 17th January 2020.
NOTE: The liquidity for greyhound racing does not improve until approximately 5-10 minutes before the race starts. You should therefore only do this offer if you’re comfortable with that. If you’ve not done a greyhound offer before, you may just want to observe the changing odds or at least use lower stakes until you get the hang of things.
Qualifying Bets:
If you’re unfamiliar with qualifying bets, please see my Qualifying Bet Strategy page for a walk-through guide on how they should be done.
We’ll need to lay our bets with Betfair.
Betfair are currently running a great sign up offer where you pay 0% commission up to £500 for the first 30 days…
If you already have a Betfair account, you can opt to pay just 2% commission by selecting the Basic package.
We can calculate our lay stakes using the matched betting calculator.
So, we’ll lose approximately £1.20 in qualifying for our £10.00 free bet.
Free Bet:
Our £10.00 free bet will be credited by 12:00 on Saturday 18th January 2020 and will be valid for 7 days.
By using straightforward matched betting, we should be able to extract 80% cash from our £10.00 free bet, so £8.00. If we take into consideration our total qualifying loss of £1.20, this gives us a guaranteed profit of £6.80 on this Betfred offer!

22Thanks for the warning Matt! I didn’t get on this although I sort of tried earlier – the odds started fluctuating like mad right before the race. I almost managed to get a bet on but as soon as I’d put the back and lay odds into the calculator, they had then changed by the time I went back to the bookies. Any advice on how to get these on for future reference? Is it a case of being really quick?
Cheers
A
Matt
1490Laying bets on the greyhounds can be a bit daunting at first but once you’ve done one or two offers, you should feel a lot more comfortable.
You do need to be pretty quick with these bets. I always recommend watching a few races first so that you can get an idea of how quickly the odds fluctuate in the lead up to a race.
