Betfred Price Boost – Yanworth & Cue Card

There’s a big day of racing action at Wincanton and Ascot today and you don’t want to miss this Betfred price boost. They’ve enhanced Yanworth and Cue Card both to win to a tasty 7/4! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £18.73 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

Maximum stakes for this offer may vary for different accounts, but the following example is based on a maximum stake of £100.00.

Place £100.00 on Yanworth & Cue Card to win @ 2.75 = Potential profit of £175.00

Race 1: 14:45 Wincanton

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first race, we need to cover our original stake of £100.00. If we divide £100.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £102.04…

Lay £102.04 on Yanworth @ 1.65 = Potential liability of £66.32

If Yanworth wins – £66.32 = – £66.32
If Yanworth doesn’t win – £100.00 + £100.00 = £0.00

So, if Yanworth doesn’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Yanworth does win, we’ll have lost £66.32 so far.

Race 2: 15:35 Ascot

So, if Yanworth wins, this means on the next race, we’ll need to cover both the £66.32 loss from the first race plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £166.32 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £169.72…

Lay £169.72 on Cue Card @ 1.53 = Potential liability of £89.95

If Cue Card wins + £175.00 – £66.32 – £89.95 = £18.73 profit
If Cue Card doesn’t win – £100.00 – £66.32 + £166.32 = £0.00

So, if either Yanworth or Cue Card fails to win, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if Yanworth and Cue Card both win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £18.73!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
