Betfred Price Boosts – Kempton Double & Treble

There’s a big day of racing at Kempton today and you don’t want to miss these Betfred price boosts. They’ve enhanced Charli Parcs, Frodon and Champ all to win to a tasty 4/1! Translated into matched betting terms, this gives us a risk-free potential profit of £39.82 and here’s how…

Price Boost Bet:

Maximum stakes for this offer may vary for different accounts, but the following example is based on a maximum stake of £100.00.

You’ll find the price boosts under Horse Racing > Price Boosts…

Place £100.00 on Charli Parcs, Frodon & Champ to win @ 5.00 = Potential profit of £400.00

Race 1: 13:50 Kempton

I like to place my exchange lay bets with Smarkets as they have great liquidity, the site is really easy to use and they only charge 2% commission in comparison to the 5% charged by other betting exchanges.

On the first race, we need to cover our original stake of £100.00. If we divide £100.00 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £102.04…

Lay £102.04 on Charli Parcs @ 1.62 = Potential liability of £63.26

If Charli Parcs wins – £63.26 = – £63.26
If Charli Parcs doesn’t win – £100.00 + £100.00 = £0.00

So, if Charli Parcs doesn’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Charli Parcs does win, we’ll have lost £63.26 so far.

Race 2: 14:25 Kempton

So, if Charli Parcs wins, this means on the next race, we’ll need to cover both the £63.26 loss from the first race plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £163.26 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £166.59…

Lay £166.59 on Frodon @ 1.74 = Potential liability of £123.27

If Frodon wins – £63.26 – £123.27 = – £186.53
If Frodon doesn’t win – £100.00 – £66.32 + £166.32 = £0.00

So, if Frodon doesn’t win, the offer will be over and we’ll have broken even. However, if Frodon does win, we’ll have lost £186.53 so far.

Race 3: 16:45 Kempton

So, if Frodon wins, this means on the final race, we’ll need to cover both the £186.53 loss from the first two races plus the original stake of £100.00. If we divide £286.53 by 0.98 (to account for the 2% Smarkets commission), this gives us a lay stake of £292.38…

Lay £292.38 on Champ @ 1.64 = Potential liability of £187.12

If Champ wins + £400.00 – £63.26 – £123.27 – £187.12 = £26.35 profit
If Champ doesn’t win – £100.00 – £66.32 – £123.27 + £286.53 = £0.00

So, if any of our three horses fail to win, we’ll have broken even and there’s no harm done. However, if all three horses win, we’ll have made a nice risk-free profit of £26.35!

Betfred are also offering a separate 2/1 price boost double on Charli Parcs and Frodon. By using the sequential lay method above we can make a further risk-free potential profit of £13.47, giving us an overall potential profit of £39.82 on these Betfred price boosts!

I’d like to point out that the above workings are based on the lay odds that were available at the time of writing. If the lay odds fluctuate before we are able to place our lay bets, this may result in us making more potential profit, less potential or even a slight loss, so please bear that in mind before deciding whether or not to do this offer.
