ACCA (again sorry!)

  • Hi Guys,
    First post in a while!

Thought it was time I started on the Acca’s. I feel the best method for me personally is the Lay all at the start method, I presume the no lay method is probably more beneficial, however guess i’m just a wimp!

    Result Bookmaker Exchange Your Profit
    All win (24%) £68 -£40 £28
    1 lose (40%) -£5 -£7.50 -£12.50
    2 lose (26%) -£25 £25 £0
    3 lose (9%) -£25 £57.50 £32.50
    4 lose (1%) -£25 £90 £65
    All lose (0.1%) -£25 £122.50 £97.50

I found the above online, this is based off a £25 stake and back and lay odds of 1.3/1.32. I assume this is correct?

    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Thanks

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The second one I think you can extract 86.59

    Lay leg 1 Stake = 106.86, Liability = 58.77

    Lay leg 2 if leg 1 wins then Stake = 158.54,Liability = 39.63
    Lay leg 2 if leg 1 lost then Stake = 32.52, Liability = 8.13.

What are the cash out values of the acca’s on the bookies just out of curiosity?

    Right ok thanks a lot.

But I the payout amounts I mentioned are the returns so including stake, so should I only do the calculation on the profit amount?

I calculated it based on the payouts based on returns….

I’m just curious though what the cash out is?

Never really done accas, tried a sequential lay one late last year over a weekend, think arsenal drifted one game from like 1.3 to 1.4, knackered things up lol

Therefore decided not worth my time, you have to balance the commercial value to them

However the lay at the start method appeals to me, why?

Because it reduces cash flow variance compared to the no lay method which, fog position appreciated as less accounts left why bother laying

And it doing events all starting at same time reduces chance of the odds changing like the sequential lay method

Accas might be a nice boost to my profits each month, but time is money, with nearly all accounts still active (I mug bet like crazy to stay under radar) and multi accounting I need like 40 hours in a day if I was to start taking up every offer going lol

Cashout on first on is £81 and I can’t see a cashout on second.

Just got round to registering for sportingbet and noticed they’ve just launched a ‘new and improved’ acca offer

£25, 1 a day and all bets settled on same day. Funny definition of improved.

Must be a huge blow for fog

Term 13 still says maximum of four per day. Unless its not updated on mobile yet.

    You are right
I saw the main bit of the offer then flicked to odds monkey to make sure I wasn’t mixing offers up- and copied the odds monkey summary which incorrectly has 1 per day

Still not great, but means can play around with permutations and combinations on the days of better matches

Don’t worry me like that betman!

    Haha.

It wouldn’t bother me too much, I have always left areas to improve into. And there are a lot of sites I still have that do acca offers but haven’t bothered with them because the terms are just a little worse and more awkward to search because their websites are junk. I might need oddsmonkey eventually – boyle, dafa and 188bet I’ve never been bothered.

I am worried about the summer though. Summer football here in Ireland but odds aren’t usually competitive and liquidity not great on exchanges. Will there be enough football action over summer to keep our accas ticking over?

If not I’ll switch to e/w arbing. Or I find my early prices experiment in bet365 is doing okay with severely restricted stakes. Making about 50 to 100 per month on €5 stakes. I can bring it to another bookie that I’m not restricted and with €50 stakes increase profits to €1000.

Anyway the moral of the story is there always has to be another scheme around the corner. If you lose a bookie or offer it’s not over, it just releases funds and time to invest in something else…..

I’ve never cried over losing paddy even though I took €2K off them one month alone. I didnt cry over losing bet365 even though they were probably the most consistent with offers and the last really main stream bookie left. I’m not crying that I don’t have a will hill account even though everyone seems to be cleaning up with them lately. I won’t cry if sportingbet change their terms!!

There is always one bookie pushing for customers with great offers and it seems to be 10bet at the moment so if I could clear time and funds and get in there then it wouldn’t hurt.

I’ll have a new set of accounts when all else fails.

Excellent attitude Foggy, when one door closes another one opens is the best philosophy to have with all this. The people that are looking for opportunities and not dwelling on obstacles are the ones that will take home the bacon in this game.

@ Foggy, I got back into Accas this weekend but this time without doing any laying (don’t worry I wont hold you responsible if it doesn’t work out). I did extremely well out of it. What I would like to know is, was yesterday unusual?

What I mean by that is this, most of the very short prices favorites across the various leagues all won. I’m talking about teams like Barcelona, Porto, PSG etc. Does this situation happen fairly often, or have I been extremely lucky to start on a very good week for this strategy.

I either won or got a free bet on all my accas, my guess would be that this situation is fairly unusual, but as you have now had a lot of experience doing this method, it would be good to hear your thoughts on this.

Was probably about par for my experience throwing in man utd drawing.
Eg 1 in 5 or 6 fell over which is about what the odds suggest

Yesterday was phenomenal for me Dave! Out of 6 accas I won 4 and got a free bet on 1 and a cash refund on the other (don’t know why the cash return, betmclean seem to have automated the process of applying free bets but done it wrong!).

What I loved about the weekend too was that you weren’t left sweating to the whistle for results – Real had their game won in 29 mins, Barcelona a couple of first half goals and put it to bed emphatically in the 2nd half. PSV won 4-0, Porto 7-0, Panathinaikos 5-0, Dortmund 6-2 (they did let Bayer to within a goal on 74′ though).

Also some of my slightly longer odds legs won like I had thrown in Leicester in one, Villarreal in another, and AC Milan.

I would say yes its unusual – was glad though I stayed away from Man Utd in most of my accas. But I have had other weekends like this from time to time.

Just to give the other side of the story though. I’ve often burned through £300 with nothing to show except a few free bets.

What do you think to half underlaying all at start?.
    Probably rubbish
