ACCA (again sorry!)

  • Hi Guys,
    First post in a while!

Thought it was time I started on the Acca’s. I feel the best method for me personally is the Lay all at the start method, I presume the no lay method is probably more beneficial, however guess i’m just a wimp!

    Result Bookmaker Exchange Your Profit
    All win (24%) £68 -£40 £28
    1 lose (40%) -£5 -£7.50 -£12.50
    2 lose (26%) -£25 £25 £0
    3 lose (9%) -£25 £57.50 £32.50
    4 lose (1%) -£25 £90 £65
    All lose (0.1%) -£25 £122.50 £97.50

I found the above online, this is based off a £25 stake and back and lay odds of 1.3/1.32. I assume this is correct?

    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Thanks

I’ll have a look at accas for the international fixtures, still got league one and two to mix in. Hmm, 6 legs and 5/1 is a bit trickier for a no lay approach with Vernons, I probably give betfred a go, 1.33 minimum and 5 legs, £10 max fits with my next batch.

What about betfair acca edge insurance, any good on gubbed accounts?

Ladbrokes just updated their ACCA insurance T&Cs:

    4. For Digital customers, the offer applies to matches from any football league. Each selection of the accumulator must have minimum odds of 1/10 and the accumulator as a whole must have combined odds of 3/1.

I think trying to use the no lay strategy is going to be very difficult now with all the adverse changes the bookies have made to their acca insurance offers. The variance it going to be quite difficult to deal with, damn shame I was hoping things would have stayed the same and my accounts lasted until xmas, and so made a few more £ks.

Oh well it was good while it lasted. Want to give a massive thank you to Fog Blog and all the other contributors to the acca strategies you have all helped me a great deal.

Yes I agree Dave. Definitely not working out this year.

The underdogs are not reading the script – the likes of Luxembourg, Estonia, Paraguay have destroyed my international break so far for not even a free bet yet. And the Aug club season matches were no better.

I have fallen into a routine of making a few euro on the horses each day and punting the winnings on an acca/betstars golfer. So (although restricted stakes on both) I can make about €25 between Sky and Bet365 per day – USA racing on Sky with their arbs as the markets form – and bet365 with their generally decent odds, early prices, bog, enhanced terms and bad ew races. Just going max stakes. So most of the time its about break even, but sometimes my golfer wins or my acca wins and its a couple of hundred return. If I can hit 4 or 5 acca/golfer wins in a month it makes it worth it. Last month I didn’t so all my horse profit got gobbled up by acca variance!

I did two no lay accas on the international games last night, got two wrong on WH, thanks Chile and Greece. Also did betfair acca with edge, Bosnia and Belarus, useless teams.

Might leave the accas until domestic top leagues are back on.

The vernons one is no worse the some of the other no min odds ones for no lay, by the time you’ve had 5 teams averaging 1.45 you’re up to 6.4 odds and it’s often worse than that.
It makes variance tough, if you have 20 over a week you should really hit at least 1 to limit things down – but there’s still approx 7% chance of none winning which would be bad

BKK, I would stay away from the betfair acca edge. Last time that I looked at it the cut in the odds they give you removes any benefit. It’s pretty dire value.

I did notice that, odds were about 3.45 and after applying edge it was 1.97, oh well, that’s £10 flushed away on that one.

I might do some more, but spaced out from today and until Sunday, try for 1.2 to 1.4 odds only for hills and maybe vernons. There are some matches with teams at 1.01 to 1.10 for 6 legs and 5/1 total.

Locked my internationals vernons Acca in for 70% roi. Should been a little more but odds drift. Think I might run those as laying accas as the rules lean towards that traditional bigger final leg acca

I did vernons for the games on Sunday and Monday, 9 legs and all 9 came in, that is a first! Otherwise the internationals have been a bit weird, France drawing wtf, that was a William Hill loss and no free bet as I had 2 wrong selections. 4 international accas, 2 wins and 3 losses with no free bets, still in profit.

Accas with an edge, 6 wins and 10 losses, about 50% profit so far. Might do a coral 4 team acca for Tuesdays games.

Betmclean is now bets have to be placed and settled same day so thats another one gone for sequential laying. Pretty much nothing left now bar william hill but the accounts here are worth much more in other offers.

Acca refunds is dead long live acca refunds

Thanks matchedem. Also they’ve changed from refunding the bet as cash to now refunding as a free bet too. Still worth doing IMO (I do no lay accas) but not as good as it used to be sadly.

Don’t know if its been mentioned on here already but Stan James are doing 5 leg acca insurance max £25. Looking at Ts&Cs it looks like no min odds but one leg must be from the prem and it is only open to matches on Saturday and Sunday

Anyone still doing these, if so how are people getting on?
Anyone found any reasonable US sport accas?

It’s a long way from last season’s 20-35% EV with cumulative odds rarely over 5 and often lower. Mostly getting 15-20% now with odds up to 8, still some better ones but also stretching to 10%+ returns or odds up to 10 (not both) to try and keep the volume going.

I was ahead of EV but must be firmly behind now. The variance is crazy, skimming down today’s that utd game is going to have cost me hundreds. I split out Utd and chelsea a bit as didn’t see them both winning, but other teams have found ways of countering the Chelsea fluke
