Guys there is no right or wrong way.. in fact backing and laying both the qualifier and the in play bet would have proved more profitable on the last few of these. However, i still choose to use Matt’s method of dutching.

Not only is it a lot easier just banging 50 quid on the draw when i’m in the pub or whatever, i also get to place bets with other bookies, and often can combine offers which keeps everyone happy and gives me extra chances to make more money.

Last time i did this i treated the risk free bet as a free bet and laid a 0-0 draw. I underlaid and then when it came yo backing 0-0 at the start of the game the odds were higher than when i did my lay. If it was 0-0 i would make 95 and if not 28. Pretty good option i thought
Trouble is my liability was over £700

It’s a tough call for me on how to do these. On the one hand the suggested method by Matt is way less stressful because it is so easy to just stick your in-play bet on a draw as soon as it kicks off and then concentrate on the match (I’m a Man United fan so I want to watch the game).

On the other hand though, I have found that the draw odds drop by at least 0.3 decimal points almost instantly which reduces profit compared to backing and laying for a small loss on the over 0.5 goals market and then underlaying the risk-free in-play bet at half-time.

Ive just looked at combining this by backing Man Utd as my qualifying bet with Hills to get their £10 in play free bet. Downside is their current odds on Man Utd are a paltry 2.87 so it doesnt look a good idea.

Totally agree with Stims here, so easy just to follow Matt’s offer.I think people get bogged down with trying to get as much profit out of this offer and spend to much time worrying about the odds etc.
iIve just followed Matt, placed my 2 bets as he suggested though used Sky at 3.00 instead of betway as I want to mug bet with them so don’t mind the extra 2 quid I had to place then just whack down 50 inplay on the draw and if the odds drop before pre match I just place extra couple of quid with another bookmaker on the draw.

worse case if draw make 25 quid instead of 30 but with no hassle/worry!

Totally agree – we don’t need to complicate things here or be too smart. Matts strategies haven’t done us too much harm so far.

Most of us will always still follow Matt’s method but as Pickle said the reason we have a forum is to talk about these things and to learn ourselves. You don’t have to read the thread if you’re not interested lads, talk of offers should be encouraged and not the opposite.

My tactics with this offer is simply to back and lay the draw pre match, at the minute that would cost around £8, then I back the draw in play, if still 5/2 that would win you £117 with no risk. You can do this with any of the results you fancy but the advantage of the draw is if you forget and there’s an early goal it only lengthens the draw odds so you win more. If you take a view and they score early you minimise your winnings.

better to guarantee profit with offers like these than take what is essentially a punt.

I’m sometimes wary about odds drops with the method when you’re betting 3 ways and relying on your in-play odds to not drop. but I’ve never had an isue wioth bet365 when I’ce done these ones in the past. If you’re fast there is basically no odds drop in my experience, maybe 0.1 or so occasionally so I sometimes assume a drop of 0.1 and do my calculations based on that
