Thanks for the heads up, delighted with the news, always such easy money!
+0It was this offer that got me interested in matched betting. Ive been wondering though if its maybe better to just put a £50 prematch bet on and lay it at close odds and then youve got another £50 to do what you want with inplay and lay that also. Should that provide better returns or is the suggested back all 3 outcomes the most profitable?.
Edit to add just checked with current odds on Man Utd £50 inplay @ 3.2 and lay £48.05 @ 3.35 would give a profit of £47.09 plus if the exchange wins youd get your £50 stake back. Am i missing something here?
+0Good to hear! Definitely the best offer out there and a good boost for the pot.
+0Pickle doing it that way only works if your inplay bet loses…i prefer to stick to Matts method, i think its alot easier just to bang £50 on the draw soon as it kicks off, but everyone has their preferred method!
+0RyanB – That’s not right, it works whatever the outcome you just treat the in-play bet as a free bet.
+0If you back and lay £50 before hand lose like £1-£2 or soo…then bet £50 and lay it if it wins you don’t get the £50 back..so you actually end up worse off, i much prefer to do it matts way unless you underlay in the inplay bet
+0RyanB – if you treat it as a free bet you are underlaying it.
+0Pickle – If bookie bet wins = £110 profit not £160. You need to minus stake.
+0Right so its a -£2.91 loss if the bookie bet wins or a £47.09 if the lay bet wins. I thought i must have had to be wrong or Matt would do it that way.
+0Pickle:
If bookie bet wins @ 3.2 = £160 back – your 50 bet = 110 – £110 = – £2.00
If Exchange bet wins then you would win 47 yes
You’re overlaying
+0I got it now. I think!!! Lay would be £33.03 to win £32.37 minus qualifying bet so about £30 profit. Please dont say im wrong again!!!
If back (bookie) bet wins
110.00
-77.63
0.00
= £ 32.37
If lay (exchange) bet wins
-50.00
32.37
+50.00
= £ 32.37+0I disagree Roly, i wasnt sure and cant think of a better place than this forum to discuss it. Im sure Matt does know the best way to do it but if we dont ask we wont learn. Looks like theres a wealth of knowledge on here. Me not being one of them.
+0Let Matt do his thing on the main post for sure. I was just highlighting that it was back, and it’s a good place for us to chat about it. If people have alternative methods to Matt then so be it, feel free to share them, but I will almost certainly go with his method.
