Bet Alchemist – Cash in on Cheltenham Festival 2017

  • Just a quick one guys for those of you who don’t follow the main blog…

I’ve just written a review of a horse racing tipster service called Bet Alchemist, which I’ve been following now for over 14 months…

    https://matchedbettingblog.com/bet-alchemist-review/

I realise it won’t appeal to some, but for those of you who are interested in topping up your Cheltenham profits, Bet Alchemist is definitely worth a look.

It’s the perfect time to get involved ahead of the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals, so for more info, feel free to check out my post on the homepage!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Tully East went off at 8/1. To get on at 12/1 you would have to have got on before 8.30am.

Un temps as bob said was 12/1 previous night, so don’t think Bet Alchemist could have advised at 16/1 unless another bookie had better odds. But bet365 had him 12/1 The night before and 14/1 by the morning moving to 16/1 about midday.

So it’s fair to say you are counting a bit of BOG there too in his profits. And depending on how early you get on the tips you might have trouble getting the advised odds. I notice you didn’t get the odds advised on bunk off early either.

I always thought the strength of this blog was honesty and attainable promises. Where others were promising 3000 per month matched betting Matt had a more honest figure like 500 (even though 3000 is possible so he could have boasted that, but really it is not realistic for most ppl). So i respected that. But with pushing this it seems there are boasts/promises that the service can’t really keep up with.

I just mean boasting about 135 profit in one day, obviously that is not sustainable. And the boast about the Super Heinz making so much off a £10 stake….

If someone has an edge on the bookie then it’s a small edge maybe 10-20%. Not these sort of big profits where you make £135 profit from £70 staked.

I would prefer to see the profit in terms of return on investment rather than points.

I think with 50 bets advised per month at £10 stakes that’s £500 investment. And average profit from the blog post looks about £137 per month. That’s decent alright. But we all know the value on e/w bets if we pick the right horses in the right races and there is value in bog too. I still think there are ppl on this forum that could match that like supert, beesty, Chris and all the others doing good on ew arbs.

I’m disappointed you question my credibility @fog_blog.

The tips came through late on Monday and I put them on before bed as I knew I would be too busy with the blog on Tuesday morning.

I shouldn’t have to do this and I won’t be making a habit of it, but here are the screenshots of my betslips …

Of course the level of profits yesterday is not sustainable but it was great to get off to a good start.

Thanks for clarifying the price on un temps Matt. No harm in questioning the service!

    Sorry if I overstepped.

Seems you have all your bases covered though for this guy. Good to see you’re so thorough.

I’ll still give it a miss.

He got 2 placed out of 4, making a small loss on the day (weds.), though making judgements about a service over a couple days isn’t helpful when it’s all about the long term.

I decided to take the plunge and joined a few days ago. I’ve had no problems getting on at the prices published. There are often several bookies to choose from to spread bets around. While the guy’s website might seem a bit clunky, all that matters is honesty and transparency. You can check his records for yourself. It’s not a get-rich-quick-scheme.

It’s about discipline. If you are prepared to follow the guidance 100% and use a sensible position size you’ll be fine. However as Matt said, this is not for everyone. I’m happy to run this an an experiment alongside my matched betting. So far it’s been a nice confidence booster to see my allocated bank get ahead of itself, but I know this can’t be sustained in the long term. I see it as a buffer for those extended periods of drawdown yet to come which are inevitable with this kind of service.

The Free tip for today from Bet Alchemist, 17:30:

Of all the handicaps, the Neil Mullholland trained Southfield Royale, for me, is the standout. He was an excellent fourth in last year’s National Hunt Chase. That form has subsequently been franked tenfold and a replication of that performance would be more than good enough here.

This is likely to have been on connections’ minds for some time and as a result, I wouldn’t be too concerned about his below-par seasonal reappearance in the Skybet Chase at Doncaster in January. He was ridden out the back that day and he will be ridden much more prominently tomorrow afternoon. He was dropped 6lbs for that effort and off a mark of 141, he has to have a massive chance here. As always, the jockey is a crucial factor in these races and thankfully, his rider, James King, is more than capable.

As much of the hype surrounding this race surrounds Squouateur and Mall Dini, I cannot help but feel that Southfield Royale has somewhat been overlooked. Of the three, Southfield Royale boasts by far the strongest form. Squouateur, in my opinion, is still very much a hype horse while Mall Dini’s price is largely based on his Pertemps win last year. Of course, that’s not forgetting the other 21 runners in the line-up.

Neil Mullholland’s string has been in excellent form as of late and I am confident that his second-season novice can land the spoils here. Everything looks to be in his favour (the track, ground, stable form and rating) and while it is open handicap, I cannot see beyond Southfield Royale here.

Advised: 1/2 pt EW, Southfield Royale, Kim Muir, 8/1 Generally

No problem @fog_blog, I have no issue at all with you guys questioning the service, I’d be concerned if you didn’t!

I appreciate that it’s a tricky one promoting a tipster service, given the risk-free nature of the blog. As I’ve said though, I wouldn’t recommend it if I hadn’t thoroughly trialled it and believe that it’s worth following. It’s not for everyone, but if it helps a few of you guys make a bit of extra cash, then that’s great!

I’ve just updated the post on the main page guys. 0.875 points lost on Day 2, leaving us 12.625 points up overall. It’s a shame Whisper was beaten on the line!

Pleased to hear you’re giving it a go @guppyboy.
