New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Sorry didn’t mean to make it sound like it was clear cut, if Cheltenham results hadn’t gone as badly for bookies as it did this wouldn’t be happening. But I’m going to sound like Patrick here but the amount of people taking up offers to there max amounts ie matched betting is growing daily and gave these smaller bookies an even worse beating.
+0I really don’t think anyone who is caught up in this needs to hear ‘I told you so’ comments really with the ‘i’m alright jack’ attitudes’. Weren’t the same people just putting there funds into Apollobet 2nd place offers. Because that’s just as smart right?
+0Then they shouldnt have put offers on. I didnt sign up to any so im not affected but if it was like the recent besafe one which could have cost them millions then ive no sympathy for them.
+0It’s a lesson to all of us; no point questioning why we put trust in these bookmakers now
+0Thats exactly right Sy.
+0fair question.

I’ve had suspicions for months.
There are a couple of regulars at the top of the dodgy list!+0Get regular offer updates, tip and tricks, big offer alerts and more straight to your inbox.
Throwing a couple of £25 bets on Apollo and getting your winnings back/losing them to exchange and then just not getting your free bets in a timely fashion, is not really in the same league loss wise as having £1000s seized from you by 138.com etc is it?
We’re talking about risk here. Do not risk funds that you could not live without.
+0Trouble is all they have to do is check who signed up to all there sites and used offers around the same time to flag up matched betters. I find it funny where people are saying I’ve got money tied up in all 4 sites, why would a normal punter be using all 4 of there sites except to abuse the bonuses.
+0Not all hope is lost.
666bet did make some payouts last year after making no communication to the public for 2 months.
The deposits should be rung fenced so there should be some funds there.
In the 666bet case account holders had to set up a skrill account and approximately 50 % of account holders were paid out in full, the other 50% got nothing not even their bus fare home.
Ryan will be glad to hear how they picked the ones to pay out appeared to be totally random. The UK Gambling Commission is a complete waste of time and is utterly toothless.
Lets hope for a comment from Matt in the not too distant future
+0It’s certainly going to be a sad evening 🙁
+0Only just started reading this thread today. Pretty awful stuff and I hope you all get the money owed to you, at least the deposits and winnings from your own cash.
Alarming to read that people are staking their savings or mortgage payments on matched betting though. Yes its risk free but whilst the money is tied up in a bookie or exchange account, you obviously dont have it at your disposal so for god sake dont stake what you cant afford to be without, even if its temporary.
+0Wow. Just reading this thread now. That’s awful behaviour from those bookies in question.
It’s definitely a lesson to people only to risk money you can afford to lose, don’t leave big balances in lesser known bookies.
I don’t blame Matt for anything here. But now its done, I don’t think that he should still be supporting those bookies with affiliate links.
+0I’ve put €20 into bonus betting and I thought long and hard even about investing that much! Anything else is just profit from that initial investment – to me its like monopoly money it doesn’t even have a value until I withdraw it someday and then its a big bonus.
+0Just ask yourself why Matt set up this site in the first place ?
Some of you are very niaive+0
