Aintree Festival Day 1 Thread

  • Had to be done really.

    Offers and strategies here.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

If you are tight on capital then I don’t think it’s worth it

On totesport after a few seconds of being in my betslip Ivanovich would drop to 2.2 so I thought I had missed it, but if you are quick enough and place the bet straight away you still get the boosted odds of 2.75 lol very strange… just a heads up if anyone else has the same issue

Not worth your time? By all means claim that it’s not worth your time, but by that logic you shouldn’t be doing MB2 offers. This Gorbatov boost was worth over £5 guaranteed… MB2 offers are usually worth less than £5 (and that’s assuming you find a good match). I’m not trying to offend you or anything, I am just pointing out that the value in this offer is comparable to the offers you frequently do (also probably less costly in terms of effort).

Edit: if you took the boost on B365 as well, you would make around £15. Not too bad.

Punted £20 on big vic at the 2.75 offered by betfred. Any horse lovers think that’s a reasonable thing to do or is the race likely to be competitive?

Already explained why its not worth my time, not so much because the profit is small but rather the inconvenience of money out of the exchange if it does win.

His back and lay odds are likely to drift before the race too, 2.5 is a short price.

Personally albatross I wouldn’t punt on this horse. Some strong competition in there and Diego Du Charmill for example won on the same day at Cheltenham over the same distance in a faster time.

Agreed Mark… I took the guaranteed £5 on betfred and totesport so thats an easy as you will get free £10. I wasnt aware of the bet365 boost but would have got on that too

Backed Garde La Victoire on SkyBet (MB if Sizing John 1st)
Backed Sizing John on Betstars (MB if Sizing John 2nd/3rd)
Layed Sizing John – Place (Top 3) on Smarkets at 1.53 – £6 backer stake, £3.30 liability

If Sizing John comes in the top 3, will hit a £25 free bet, and should make £15 (taking away the qualifying losses on the first two and the £3.30 liability on the last bet).

If Sizing John finishes outside the top 3, then the £6 from the lay will cover all qualifying losses.

Anyone see anything wrong with this?

Sizing John needs to go off as Favourite. If it’s second favourite and wins, then you don’t get money back from Sky.

Anyone doing the Betfair offer? Back a winner at 3/1+ and get your stake up to £25 back as a free bet

Yep Matty, I’m on the Footpad for the 2.15 race with that offer
