Anyone going to Cheltenham

  • Is anyone else going to Cheltenham,
Its a great event and would be good to meet others from here.
I am a gambler and just use offers to give extra value.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    I’m going all 4 days.

Second year I’ve managed to get all tickets free by using Rewards For Racing.

First year from betting with Coral, 365 and Fred then after losing those, by buying everything from credit cards, food shops, mobiles, household appliances, holidays through the site.

    Easy

Normally go on the tues but first time I’ve missed it in yrs this yr. It’s a great day out.

Normally also bet the night before for the other days then watch the races in the evening. My first year of matched betting rather than looking for value and some of obvious offers so may have to reconsider that approach

Matchedem I think the time to quit post is more apt for that mindset

Matchedem – A summer race day midweek sounds a great day out – well maybe not right enough!! – Hardly a comparison to the Cheltenham festival.

Remember your factor 50 when you head to your Mickey Mouse summer race day though and enjoy it.

Just not going to make as much on the go are you…its all about the profits after all as everyone always says

also I have 3 laptops on the go at any one time for different accounts…cant exactly cart them round the parade ring FACTUALLY can i

I have plenty of all those things u mention i just keep them out of racing hours to optimise both

And roly24 my logic is thus:

roly goes to cheltenham festival has a gamble and wins/loses £200 (assuming £50 a day budget so minimal £10 bets with little chance of winning big). Roly can’t gamble much as doesn’t want to lose his own money

matchedem does the sensible cheltenham thing and makes £2.5k. He then goes to the races with 1k in his back pocket…even if loses it he’s 1.5 up but could easily turn that extra 1.0 into 2.0 or more

I know witch day at the races I think sounds more exciting…ill keep an eye out for u on TV from my bedroom

So matchedem lives at home with his parents and already has a projected £10k profit figure for the 4 days despite not knowing how many races are in a day

I’d love to go to Cheltenham. Since getting into MB I have gone from having no clue and no interest in horse racing to having no clue but lots of interest in horse racing 🙂

My old man used to make the annual pilgrimage with the same group of mates for years, it was almost certainly the thing he looked forward to most in terms of stuff away from the family.

So, to those going, have a great time and enjoy every minute of it. I can totally appreciate the need to spend some of your hard earned profits on whatever you get pleasure from… if you don’t then what’s the point?

BTW @matchedem I do literally ALL my MB via a single iPhone so I can categorically confirm that it is possible to make lots of money “on the go” 😉

    Lads lay off would yas!!!

I’m not going to Cheltenham either. Does that mean I don’t have a life either?

Me and matchie are going to Navan instead for An Uaimh chase in April.

Gees all the lad said was that he wasn’t going to Cheltenham. It’s a bit much now the amount of abuse matchedem has to take.

Fog,matchedem brings all the abuse on himself with his outrageous fantasies
Why does he feel a neeed to state that he will make £2,500 in 4 days matchbetting over Cheltenham.
The guy is a total fantasist and as someone eluded to he must have serious self esteem issues.
The more he posts the more I feel genuinely sorry for him.
He ought to spend some of his so called winnings on getting a life.

cheers for heeding the warning johnd about not being nasty. The people who say I play up etc fair enough but I really don’t see where the fantasy is and many many people on here (note those being the people who know there stuff) agree that the numbers or predictions I post are not fantasies. I guess maybe they are for yourself though so ill try explain step by step…

So 2,500 is 625 a day. I’m expecting each day there to be 3 races with extra e/w places. If similar to last year investing £50 could give us a 50/50 chance of £300 easily…most of the horses could be backed without losing a penny. So on average that could be half of my hopeful estimate. Then we have 6 (or 7?) races…each I;m assuming will have tens of money back seconds or faller insurances etc. Lets guestimate we hit another £100 on these over the day. £100 on arbs with all the morning price boosts will be easy if you have enough unrestricted accounts. SO thats around £125 short a day or £500 over the week…with the amount of bets being placed I’d be highly surprised if I didnt get that in BOG or reduction factors

I know its very hopeful but why wouldnt i be! Why predict the minimum I might make and be pessemistic. If the each way races don’t materialise or i lose accounts etc yeh i wont make that. But the FACT is I made £1000 last year when I was a newbie similar to yourself!

betman – see above anyway but it was 2.5 over the week…even im not 10.0 good!
fog – the Navan trip sounds good I’ll get my faller insurance bets on on the way over!
tony – fair enough u silence the big dog…for now
