Anyone have money on Briery Queen or Lady of Lamanvar?

  • Had bets on both with different bookies. That was an interesting experience. The bookies paid out first place on both horses plus made money on it on the Exchange.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yup had sane thing. Backed lady on will hill and laid on smarkets. Paid out on both. Says resettled on smarkets so think it was initially awarded to lady and then changed late after stewards enq?????

Your post got me excited- checked with bet365 and Briwry Queen had won! £200 up I thought … Except smarkets changed the result which said Lady won at first… Grrr that would have been nice.

Also now I fear I have wasted my risk free bet on bet365 as I didn’t use it on the next race. Anyone know if they are likely to give me a risk free on th next ch 4 race instead??

I made Bet365 put an extra £50 in my account to make up for the confusion. Just ask them for it.

They offered me 25 and even after asking for 50 they said no! How annoying- I feel its a bit late now to go and ask again for another 25 lol

As well as Briery, I had £25 on Lady of Lamanvar over at Lads. Lads paid me out winnings on that as if it came in first. But I also got around £25 back in my Exchange at Betfair as they consider Lady of Lamanvar a loser.

    Winning! LOL

Hills still haven’t reclaimed my winnings, I had Lady with them.

It’s £187.50 with the winnings, I’ve been doing a bit of research and apparently Hills (and all the High St bookies) pay out on first past the post and the amended result. So anyone who had a winner with the bookies (not the exchanges) will keep their winnings on Lady of Lameva.

Turned a good day (3 free bets) into a great one!

I bet ApolloBet wouldn’t have honoured the bet. FACT.

£325 from bet 365 :)! Bet freebet £50 on Lady of Lamanvar at 7.00 and laid on smarkets, 15:49:27 on smarkets – bet lost -£285.11 and stake £40.72,
16:08:12 Market resettled refund stake£40.72 and liability £285.11. Happy days, very confused. Is it means £325 PROFIT folks?

What actually happened because I had £60 on Lady of Lamanver with RealDealBet and it took hours for the bet to settle and eventually it said it lost?

So it was a photo finish anyway and ruled that lady of lamenver won by a nose.

Basically in the last furlong and a half when briery hill was storming forward, lady edged to her right into the path if Brierly hill so the stewards looked at it.

I think they only reversed it because the original decision was so marginal, it looked the fair decision to me though because Brierly hill was forced to change his line.

Lead to a frantic/stressful 30 mins for me!
