Just out general curiosity as it has just happened when laying the 0-2 bet, why does Smarkets sometimes not take the entire amount you’ve staked? For example, you stake £20.08 (plenty of liability available at £50+), but it’ll only take £20.07.

Nobody knows why smarkets works as it does. My bet is that some programmer embedded a virus in the code to direct one penny in every thousand transactions to his personal bank account a la the movie Office Space.
