Yes, you would need to lay the double. If only one wins then you lose the bet and the lay for that horse.

cant you sequentially lay? i looked at the post for native river and altior yesterday, and following those calcs i got a possible profit of about £33 based on underlaying at above lay odds?

Yes, I know all about sequential laying.

My question was really about why the sequential odds were much lower than 15.I should have made that more clearer.

I’ve never seen such a difference and wondered if there was something I was missing.

Like you said I’m on £165 from a £50 stake.

just looked at calcs on those odds
£100 bet @ 15 = Return £1500
Liability £260.20, £808.62 = £1068.83

Profit = £1500 – £100 – £1068.83 = £331.17

Right ? Check my calcs

i would agree based on my £33 profit from £10 = 33/10 x 100 = 330 which is about your profit figure, and running through your calcs above i agree. i reserve the right to be wrong!

only thing i can think which may give us a stressful 30 mins between races is the possibility of the second horse being a non runner after the first one wins
