Could you lay “any other away win” on Smarkets, currently 2.24?

If 3 or less goals are scored by Madrid and they win, you lose at Betfred, lay wins at Smarkets.
If 3 or less goals are scored by Madrid and they lose, same situation.
If they score 4 or more goals and win, you win at Betfred, lay loses at Smarkets
If they score 4 or more goals and lose, eg 5-4 or 6-4 or 6-5 to the other team, you win at Betfred and your lay also wins at Smarkets.

Or am I missing something here? Is there any situation in which both bets would lose?

If Madrid score less than 4 and they draw/lose then you’d lose both as you are laying any other away WIN. At least that’s how I see it I may be wrong.

The lay would still win then? Because they haven’t won the match and you’ve layed the win.

4-4 draw you’d win them both lol

Probably be best just to lay at 2.29 on BF Sunny to be sure.£50 at the 2.50/2.29 is £3.02 profit.Or lay £52.63 you will break even if they don’t score 4.If they do you will win £7.11 overall (win at Betfred- loss at Betfair) I think anyway lol

He is right mind!… I’ve layed at betfair “any other away win” @2.20

Madrid would have to score 4 to lose the lay bet… which of course would trigger the Betfred payout

    Down to 2.14 now

I think it narrows it down to the win market though, so you’ve backed 4 or more Madrid goals and Madrid to not win by 4 or more (hence backing them to win 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-1, 3-2), therefore if it’s a draw or they lose and they don’t score 4 then you’d lose both back and lay bets

Harris, by laying “any other away win”, if Madrid scores 3 goals or less and they win, the lay bet wins as it’s not an “other away win” – it’s covered by the scorelines on Smarkets which go from 0-0 up to 3-3. If they score 3 goals or less but draw/lose, the lay bet automatically wins as we’re laying Madrid to win.

I ended up putting £50 on at Betfred, and laying “any other away win” at 2.24 and Smarkets, it’s dropped to 2.18 now though! Guarantees just over £5 profit, and if Madrid somehow score 4 or more goals but draw/lose, both bets win so even bigger profit.

He’s right @harris97… by laying “any other win” you’re in fact betting against Madrid winning and scoring 4 or more goals… therefore ANY OTHER RESULT that occurs which doesn’t see Madrid win and score 4 goals would win in the exchange!… To lose in the exchange Madrid would have to score 4 goals… which of course is the BetFred offer!

No lose!… underlaid for potential £20 or break even meself
