Boyle countdown – man city and arsenal 3/1 from 7/4

  • max 25.

City are laying at 1.27 and arsenal at 2.46. Different kick off times so a nice little sequential lay here.

Hi, how would you go about laying this?

Lay City for £25.51 (£25 back stake / 0.98 to account for Smarkets commission) @1.27 for liability of £6.89

If City don’t win you break even and stop.

    If City do win you lay Arsenal for £32.54 ([£25 + £6.89] / 0.98) @2.46 for liability of £47.51

If Arsenal don’t win you break even, but if they do win your net profit is…

    £75 (profit from back bet) – £6.89 (City liability) – £47.51 (Arsenal liability) = £20.60

Looks like another stealth gubbing £6.30 max for me. Think I may let it run now.

This will be my VERY FIRST matched bet, I was going to do this as said above.

IF I do as Tony S says and dont lay City, (can’t see anything but a City win) my Arsenal lay would be £25.51 Is that correct?
    Profit would rise by £6.89?
Of cause I would be down £25 if City failed to win.
Just trying to get my head around all this.

Densman. It’s not matched betting if you don’t lay. It is just gambling. I would advise laying.

I have seen stronger favourite fail to win. Happens all the time.

A sequential lay is some way to make your first foray. But best of luck :)

Densman sorry, as a Sunderland fan I was kinda saying “don’t lay city” tongue in cheek!… Fogs right, we’ve been on this matched betting journey quite a while and seen some truly barbaric results come in!… Sequential lays of City and Arsenal is the way to go…

Yes your right Guys. No point in matched betting I don’t follow the “rules”
Got to get out of the gambling habit.
    I’ve layed City all ready.
    Thanks for your input. Appreciated.

Agree witht he 2 lads, lay everything off. If you want to put that gamble factor in then you’re getting it in the potential side of the bets, they both have to win.

Managed to get this on in 7 shops, Think I can guarantee a tenner from each one so a nice 70 profit coming from the few hours spent done on this. Maybe 2 hours total.

Right, anyone know how to lock in profit here?

    FoG_BLoG 61

I think the best you can lock in is €6.49.

    £32.13 @1.27 liability is £8.68
    £40.99 @2.46 liability is £59.84

So if city lose you bag 32-comm-bookie loss ~ €6

If city win then overlay arsenal by about the same to guarantee ~ €6

If both win then total liability paid out is 8+59 = 67 and total profit at bookie is 75 ~ €6
