Daily paddy power money back if 2nd to SP fav on greyhounds (max £25)

  • This is proving quite profitable for me. It is 1 meeting per day.

At the moment seems betfair is doing 0% commission on greyhounds. Liquidity is very bad until final 1-2 minutes before race but tactic is have 2 windows open and ready to bet and lay the same amount at the same odds, paddy power prices seem slow to update so u can with some skill and practice you can pretty much always get in with the same back and lay odds and i skip those races i dont manage it.

Bet on 6 races today came away with a qualifying GAIN of £2 and 2 x £25 free bets :D

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Did it again today got another £25 bet and it quite fun as well. Bit like financial trading, fastest finger wins

How do you work out which horse to back? Is it just pot luck?

usually i just try and get in on the 2nd favourite, sometimes not possible just take the closest match that isn’t the favourite (although sometimes the dog u back becomes the fav in the final few seconds messing up any chance u have of a free bet :D ). Its just luck really if they come home in the right order but with 12 races a day i usually get in on 8-10 of them without any qualifying loss if i cant i move on to the next race. They are every 15 minutes, not worth even trying to get in until the final 5 minutes anyway

I set my lay about 2 points below the bookies price. and move it along with the prices.
for example £20 ready to bet on bookies at 4.0 and a £21.05 lay set at 3.8 on exchange.
The split second the price gets taken up on exchange u have to hit the confirm bet on bookies before the price goes lower (2 windows open). Im underlaying for a 0 loss on exchange with possibility of free bet and a small profit if the dog actually wins.

Yesterday i didnt manage a free bet but i didnt lose anything either.

Its up to you of course bearing in mind paddy power and betfair are owned by the same group, whether they are sharing information and will gub u is debatable.

Thanks so much for your reply – very helpful!! :)

I’m a newbie, been matched betting for a few weeks and done most of the new customer offers etc and now I’ve come to a bit of a standstill. I thought this offer seemed worth a try :)

I usually use smarkets but it doesn’t seem like they have greyhound markets on there… Is there any alternative to betfair (to avoid being gubbed) or is it just a case of risking it?

    Thanks again for your help!

I thought after the first month of doing signup offers i would too, but second month i have already made double what i did on signups doing the reload offers and whatever i can find every day

for the bigger events (greyhound derby etc) matchbook lists them as well. But VERY low liquidity

If you have been watching betfair u will see the market does nothing until about 1-2 minutes before race then it moves fast. Got a lot of bets on in the final 10-20 secs. If i dont get fully matched i adjust my bookie bet.

Wasnt so great today, liquidity on most of the races was awful. Still got bets on for 5 i think. Quali loss about £1 overall, no free bet though. Try again tomorrow

Made a massive error yesterday doing the coral ones but turned out very profitable :D, u get a free bet if u back a winner at over 2/1

I backed a dog at 7, and by mistake laid another dog at 7. Was worried for a few moments but had a good outcome, the dog i backed won the race so made £120 + £20 on the lay + £20 free bet to use….. could have turned out a lot worse though… must be more careful.

Cheers for these posts. Im in a lot off PP”Ss every day doing their in shop horse offers but never bother with the daily mb2 to fav greyhound stuff. Have never used exchanges for dog racing- thought it would be pretty much non existent. Will look in to these in future if i have abit of time in the shops- esp if there is a short price fav. Could add a little extra to the daily mix.

    Cheers

Wouldn’t worry about getting a gubbing Joanne by using Betfair exchange if you use Paddy Power – you’ll get a gubbing fairly quickly if you batter PP offers/take value regardless so you may aswell hit the offer while you can.

Liquidity is the only issue scabs – and in my case morally (wife’s auntie rescues ex runners and the treatment of some of the dogs is shocking) so don’t bet on the dogs. Coral do a pretty good offer on the dogs too , back a 2/1+ winner and get a FB up to £25 though this isn’t a daily offer

really all happens in the last minute before the race starts. gotta have that trigger finger ready. Im not gubbed off paddy yet but i take pretty much every offer they got going and i keep winning on the bookies side so im about £1.5k up. I need to start losing on paddy haha i feel it wont be long before they gub but maybe they will give me the chance to lose that cash back to them first. I been winning so much on the dogs, my dog just refuses to come second to SP fav this week :D

Cheers scabs – only made about £40 since yesterday morning, which has simply made the arcade free (those 2p pushers rinse your money)!

Am I right in Betfair SB also do an offer on the dogs? 10bet also have a MB if your first dog bet doesn’t win, rather just punt £10 on that and take the £2 loss if it doesn’t win.

Dont know what BF SB are doing atm (I get f all bonus from them anymore so never look!) Id guess they prob are as they are brothers with PP these days.

Thats still a tidy few bob made in a day or so whilst on your hols. Nice to have a few beers out etc on the house!

10bet do a risk free bet on your first greyhound bet. You can use that to practice ur tactics for paddy :D ( put it through as a risk free bet)

There are offers on betfair sportsbook but obviously then laying on betfair exchange isnt going to be a good idea

Ladbrokes exchange has very similar liquidity to Betfair on the dogs
