Duplicate/2nd accounts vs wife's account question

  • Evening gents.

Having been gubbed from a few profitable bookies my wife is very keen to start a bit of MBing….!

I’ve read through the T+Cs at the bookies and they discuss “duplicate accounts”. I’ve scoured old threads for similar subjects but haven’t had all my questions answered. Please accept my apologies if this is a tired subject and I’ve missed a thread with all the answers.

If my wife opens an account that’s technically not a duplicate account right? I appreciate that they’ll soon pick up on the same address and end up gubbed quick but that’s part of the game. She’ll use a different PayPal account and her mobile (on 4G) for betting so hopefully that will delay a gubbing.

What I don’t want to do is anything illegal (like some people on here seem happy to do), or risk having account funds forfeited.

I’ve lost Betfair, WH, PP, Laddies, Betway and Stan James. I appreciate there’s still plenty of offers but things seem to be drying up for me of late and I don’t have the time to invest in some of the more complex schemes that people seem to get involved with on here.

I’ve paid for a holiday this year, and it would be nice to have a new bathroom too….!!

    Many thanks in advance.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I still have a Sky and Bet365 account. I’d especially like to keep my bet365 account. Am I right in saying these are friendly towards people at the same address having accounts? I wouldn’t want to compromise my own accounts.

I’m like you beaser, feeding on scraps now. My erm, wife and I, managed two Coral accounts for some time which was profitable through Cheltenham. Lost them both on the same day earlier in the month. One on laptop, one on phone.

Running to Skybet accounts without a problem since the turn of the year. Again, one on laptop, one on phone.

Lost my WH account but wife still has hers. Not used it since my gubbing as I thought it might be worth saving for Euros. My account was set up before we moved house.

Really want revenge on PP, Laddies, BV, Betway and others.

So your wife has an account but registered to a different address?

Althiigh they gubbed me first I actually still like PP. I’ve been using my accounts for arbing and they’ve not restricted my bets. When I lost Laddies and WH promotions I started arbing and they picked up on it straight away!

Are you thinking about getting underfloor heating? If so, might need another couple of wives. 🙂

I’m going for mirrored walls, so I can watch myself shower. Thanks for the interest guys. I’ll do a separate post re colour schemes.

I think an avocado colour scheme should make a come back. you could start the new old trend!
Back on topic, I imagine the books that really hate it will put it clearly in the T+Cs.

    theres this website
    https://betclone.com/
which has info about which bookies are “related” and whether they are partner friendly or not, but I’m not sure how up to date it is. I imagine the bookies are clamping down with the rise of MBing.

    beaser,
most bookies now limit us to just one account per household, IP address etc. Some people seem to have ignored these rules and got away with it, but personally I would not take that risk as I think the bookies would be in their rights to keep the funds in both accounts.

I have heard its possible to have two accounts at the same address but the second account does not qualify for any welcome bonus which obviously would only be useful for the on going offers. If the other account had already been gubbed I have my doubts if they would allow your O/H to open an account and if they did it probably would be gubbed fairly quickly.

I am in a similar situation to you, I am not a massive matched bettor but have already lost three accounts in just four months. I still have most of the second tier bookies to do, but was hoping by doing plenty of mug betting I could have hung onto some of the main bookies a bit longer.

It would appear that mug betting doesn’t seem to make any difference anymore I think perhaps a year or so ago it did help preserve ones account.

Match betting forums are full of posts by people who have lost accounts in the last few months that they had held for many years. Unfortunately I don’t really see things improving in the short term so we just have to make the best of it.

I think if you do a few more sign up offers and some on going offers you are eligible for then a new bathroom is on the cards for you.

I expect (and am currently on target) to make about £3K this year without a great deal of effort. Next year however I will probably have to look into sharbing if I wish to make a similar amount.

I think your problem lies in the same address..I was lucky enough to get another account in girlfriends name due to her having a different address to me so worked out perfectly for me. I can imagine a few bookies as soon as you sign up that same address would flag up right away.

Cheers for the advice guys, much appreciated. I guess I’ll leave it and try and make do on what I have left for the time being.
