My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Well I fecked up the first one, the odds went out and never came back to any where near what I had backed it at, and had a massive QL of -£8.26. But I then turned the corner and I got my other two mutts done for QL’s of -28p and -37p.

All in all a QL of £8.91. Which is less than yesterdays £11.26.

I’ll still make a nice bit of free cash though from the freebie

Give me a couple of months and I might get the hang of this :)

Normal matched betting theory says place your bet with the bookies first and then your lay bet at the exchange. However, with the woof woofs I think a better strategy is to keep one eye on the bookies prices and target a price on the exchange that will see a minimal qualifying loss – then as soon as it appears lay it. Then rush over to the bookies site and place the corresponding back bet.

I think this because the bookies prices are less likely to jump in the space of a few seconds and if they do not by a huge amount, but the prices on the exchange can do.

    Any opinions on this approach?

i know how not to do it… with 2 accounts!!! instead of swapping accounts, even though I thought I had , I continued past the 3 qualifying bets and carried on for 2 more races before I realised. So a qualifying loss of around £16 already, but then went on my other account and proceeded to smash it and ended up £1 up on the 3 bets so a ql of only £14 and £50 in free bets this morning. I was quite chuffed in the end after about 3000 swear words when I realised my error.
Had a good week overall this week with all matched betting, reckon I am around £300 up

I would like to suggest ways of playing this , but everything seems to work and everything seems to not work as well. I have found best approach is to watch the lay betting and look for the lowest odds and then as soon as they get reasonably close to the bet odds – even a £3 ql is ok (having placed my £25 bet and dog ready on the bet slip) quickly check the calculator and bang the bet on and then the lay.
I aim for quick bets and less time then go on to the next race asap – I can get 3 bets on in about £15 mins for a £9 loss. Then £21 out of the free bet for £12 overall in 20 minutes work x 2 accounts = £24 for 40 mins work

@happyhomer i backed a dog the other night,it was 2.50 to back and 2.52 to lay at the time.Soon as I did the back bet the lay odds shout out to 3 then 3.15.I took a near £13 loss on that one.I’m convinced that if i’d done the lay 1st instead the back odds would have still been 2.50 a few seconds later! Gonna do it that way next time for sure!!

Thursday night just ain’t the same without the madness of Fred’s dogs offer ?

As matchedem would say, we’re clearly killing it to the extent that baldy has pulled the offer, haha! ?
